Kevin E Kondrat is a Methuen general contractor who has spent over a decade on roofing, additions and whole-home remodel work — 27 building permits on file, mostly Methuen residential roofing, decks and additions, plus a 2019 commercial alteration and an 84-panel solar array in Newburyport back in 2018. The written record is thin and dated, but sharply split. In a 2016 review, a customer described a $16,500 roof, door and rot-repair job finished in 4 days and called the work professional and detail-oriented; a 2014 review credited him with a full $85,000 addition, praising the framing and attention to detail. A separate 2016 account tells a different story: paid in full for roofing work, the customer says Kondrat promised to return and fix outstanding defects, then disappeared — and adds that the business also operates as K&C Contracting from 7 Marvin Street, Methuen, with his wife Dana handling the permits. Before calling, know that his Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license (#CS-099457) expired in April 2020 and was last verified inactive — worth asking about directly. BuildZoom's separate business score of 0 reflects that unverified licensing, not customer sentiment; the 4.0-star average there comes from the three reviews above. Given the mixed, years-old record, this is a case for checking references and confirming current licensing before signing anything.

Roof, doors, rot repair, cellar windows. $16,500, 4 days. Working with Kevin was a pleasure. From start to finish he was very professional and takes pride in what he does. He went above and beyond with everything he did for us. From the roof to the foundation and a lot of little things in between. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing work done on their home.
Roof Work and Repair, 2 days. Buyer Beware. Kevin E. Kondrat runs this latest incarnation of K&C Contracting located at 7 Marvin Street; Methuen, MA 01844 and the phone number is (978) 476-4450. His wife, Dana, handles prerequisite building permits when required. Mr. Kondrat is highly skilled at convincing people that he is good for his word and can be trusted for quality results, complete with follow-up to resolve defective work. I fell for that BS and the "I'll be back to fix it to your satisfaction next week." Once my check was cashed, this guy disappeared. I made the mistake of paying in full while there were outstanding issues to be resolved. He looked me straight in the eye while shaking my hand as he lied. My father was a skilled craftsman in the construction trades and got all of his weekend jobs based on the quality of his work, but more importantly, his honesty. That set me up for a fall. The hard lesson I learned from Kevin Kondrat is NEVER to pay him in full until every, single bit of work, no matter how small, is done properly.
Addition, $85,000, 36 days. I hired Kevin to do a big addition for me, and did an unbelievable job. Everything from framing it out, to all the final touches. He paid attention to detail and takes pride in his workmanship. I highly recommend him.
