Kevin English opened up a barn doorway in August 2026 to hang two new sliding doors and found rotted beams behind it. He replaced them and finished the trim, and the homeowner said the result went past what they had pictured. That is how customers describe working with him: he does the thing you asked for, deals with what turns up underneath, and tells you about it first. Kevin English Carpentry works from Neponset Ave in Foxborough, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active in Kevin English's name. Google shows 5.0 across nine ratings. Seven reviews run from 2022 to 2026. In July 2026 a customer said a shed repair left it looking better than it did new, and that Kevin answered questions quickly and went through the project in detail so nothing was left out. Two customers, writing in 2023 and 2024, had kitchen islands remodelled — one enclosed to add storage. A January 2023 customer listed a year's worth of jobs: a basement remodel, a new front door, a customised closet and several rooms painted. A December 2022 customer had the living room painted and said the estimate was reasonable and a slot came up quickly. One 2023 reviewer found him through a local Foxboro group. Two things to settle. The jobs described here run across carpentry, painting and room remodels, so put in writing which trades are his and which are subcontracted. And with seven reviews spread over four years, ask for two or three recent addresses nearby — his customers are local, so that should be easy to give. The right call for a mid-sized carpentry job with unknowns behind it: barn and shed repairs, doors, islands, built-in storage. Agree in advance what happens, and what it costs, if he opens something up and finds rot.
We had Kevin replace two sliding barn doors and trim on our attached barn. He did an excellent job, including replacing some rotted beams that he found when reframing the opening. The attention to detail and ability to take our vision and execute it was beyond expectations. We get complements on it all the time. Kevin is trustworthy, communicates well, is professional, kind, timely, and is very easy to work with. Highly recommend! Before and after photos included.
Kevin and his crew did an absolutely fantastic job repairing our shed. It looks better now than when it was brand new. Kevin was quick to answer any questions we had and went over the project in detail to make sure everything we wanted done was included.
Great work, really excellent communication, fair price and responsive to special requests. Would both recommend and hire again.
Kevin remodeled our kitchen island to enclose it and add extra storage. He did an incredible job. He communicated well and completed the project in a timely manner. Would highly recommend him.
We found Kevin through a local Foxboro group we are a part of and were beyond happy with his work. We hired him to remodel our kitchen island. He was very communicative throughout the whole process and is very detailed oriented when it comes to your asks. He was punctual and completed the job quickly. In all honesty he exceeded our expectations with the final product. We plan on using him again for other future projects and I would highly recommend him to anyone else.
