A 5.0 average across 60 Houzz ratings is easy to find. Reviewers who have been hiring the same designer since 1993 are not. Kind Kitchen Design is a Woburn kitchen-and-bath design firm, and Houzz lists 97 posted projects, typical job costs of $5,000 to $75,000, an AKBD design credential and 11 Houzz awards. What they sell is the plan and the cabinetry rather than the crew: a May 2025 client wrote that Jenn "worked very well with our contractor and helped solve problems that arose in the process" — that contractor was the homeowner's own hire. The written history leans on people who came back. In July 2026 a reviewer counted "over 15 years" together and "over 100 kitchen projects completed". In September 2024 another described "working with Jennifer since 1993" and having "never once" had an issue with her or her products. A custom builder of 20 years, writing in May 2025, called her a partner his firm has used for years on its own clients' homes. Homeowners writing in August and September 2024 describe three separate projects in one house, and a master bathroom made by combining two smaller rooms. The most concrete job described is a June 2025 remodel of the kitchen and master bath of a 110-year-old house, where the client's point was that the design "modernized our house but blended in with the original structure". That is the work she gets called for: older Boston-area homes where the layout, not the labor, is the hard part. A September 2024 client, nervous about a first kitchen, put the practical version of it plainly — "She ordered the cabinets for samples. She picked out the colors." Two things to settle before calling. Scope first: this is design and cabinetry, and at least one reviewer's builder was their own hire, so agree early who runs the build and the schedule. Then the shape of the praise — a good share of it comes from trade partners and clients on their second or third project, which says a lot about consistency across a working relationship and less about how a first-timer's single job goes. Right call for a Boston-area kitchen or bath in an older house where the design is the hard part and you already have, or can hire, a builder you trust. Ask to see a recent project of the same size, and get in writing what the design fee covers and where the contractor's scope begins.
I have worked with Jenn for over 15 years. With over 100 kitchen projects completed. She is absolutely amazing and very professional. Would never dream of working with another kitchen designer.
Jenn and Brian are a wonderful team and delightful humans to work with! Jenn clearly has a vision, which is what I wanted in a kitchen designer. Even though it’s easy for her to visualize a space she was very thorough in guiding me through what I was looking for. She offered many ideas of her own but had the mental flexibility to work in multiple different space solutions and aesthetics. There were many times when I felt we were doing a “yes and…” exercises, as she seemed to take my ideas and multiply them into something better. Our kitchen project was completed over a year ago and we all love it. I’m also very happy with the quality of the cabinets. They’re beautiful and should last for many years!
Jenn helped us with a complete remodel of our kitchen and master bath for our 110 year old house. She was an outstanding asset to have on our team, helping us create a timeless design that modernized our house but blended in with the original structure. She was fantastic to work with and acted as a great facilitator and mediator when my wife and I disagreed on colors, textures, styles, and dimensions. She also worked well with our general contractor and carpenter. She made the process extremely easy for us and we love the function and the look that we ended up. I highly recommend her for your project whether it's small or large.
Jen from Kind Kitchens was absolutely amazing!! I had a vision for my kitchen, and she brought it to life beautifully. She was attentive, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire process. From layout ideas to helping me choose the right finishes and cabinet style, she truly listened and made thoughtful suggestions that fit both my taste and lifestyle. The end result exceeded my expectations — the space is not only stunning, but also functional and tailored to my needs. I’m so grateful
Jenn was amazing throughout the process of our kitchen redo. She had great insights and advice but also balanced our voice and ideas. It felt like a real partnership. She worked very well with our contractor and helped solve problems that arose in the process. She was flexible and also available to discuss any updates or changes. She personally delivered glass door to make sure it was safe and done right. She is also easy to talk to and very patient. You will be very happy with her work.
