Kitchensmith Fine Cabinetry & Design is a Natick, MA cabinet shop that has been in business about 14 years, according to its Better Business Bureau file, which also gives it an A+ rating with no complaints on record. The nine reviews on Houzz, all five stars, tell a fairly consistent story: homeowners hired Chad Smith for a new kitchen and came away crediting his layout ideas as much as the cabinets themselves. In a 2018 review, one customer said the contractors he brought in "stayed on schedule and were meticulous every step of the way." A 2017 review from a couple building new construction describes Chad and Meera outfitting an oversized kitchen and dining area, a wet bar, and multiple bathrooms with built-in cabinetry — a sign this isn't a kitchen-only operation. Another customer, writing in 2017, said they had used the company for three separate kitchen projects and couldn't imagine working with anyone else. Beyond the design work, Houzz lists the business selling and installing custom cabinets, countertops, and hardware, with 11 completed projects shown on its profile. One thing worth asking about directly: every written review on file dates from August 2016 to April 2018, and nothing more recent has surfaced since. That's not evidence the shop stopped working, but it does leave a gap in the public record worth closing before you commit — ask about recent projects and current lead times. For homeowners in the MetroWest towns the company serves — Natick, Framingham, Wellesley, Sudbury, and the surrounding area — who want a design-forward custom kitchen or bath cabinetry job, the reviews point to a shop that stays closely involved in layout decisions rather than just installing what's ordered. Confirm current pricing and scheduling, and whether Chad or Meera would be handling the design, before booking.

We had an amazing experience with the Kitchensmith. Our kitchen came out just as we imagined it! Chad had creative ideas with the layout, and now our kitchen flows so smoothly. I felt relaxed working out the design with Chad, and he offered many helpful suggestions. The contractors he works with were exceptional. They stayed on schedule and were meticulous every step of the way.
We are in love with our new kitchen! Chad was excellent to work with; fantastic design ideas, patience with our questions and requests, at all times pleasant and excited about our project, and an end result that is both beautiful and functional. Chad was easy to get in touch with throughout the process and we couldn't be happier with the results.
Kitchensmith has provided us with our dream kitchen and baths. Chad and Meera are an amazing team and joy to work with. As part of a new construction project, we outfitted an oversized kitchen and dining area, built in cabinetry, a wet bar, and multiple baths. Chad saw our vision from the start and helped us execute it at every step along the way. The design process was timely and Chad provided useful tips and feedback along the way. Installation and follow up was also seamless. I know I can contact either Chad or Meera at anytime and receive the response we need. We love the quality and enjoy the design of the products each and everyday. I have and will continue to highly recommend Kitchensmith!
We are so happy with our new kitchen, and the design, cabinets and counter we got from Chad Smith at Kitchensmith are a huge part of our satisfaction. Chad listened carefully to what we wanted, and he created a flowing and comfortable design for the limited space we had to work with. Two of us in the kitchen never get in each other's way! The cabinets are beautiful and of excellent quality. We get lots of compliments for our new kitchen.
I chose Kitchensmith for my kitchen remodel because it is local. It was a great choice. He gave me several options within my price range and made all the arrangements. The people he chose to do the work were always on time and available. I am very pleased with the quality of the products chosen and the installation. It was completed in the time frame estimated, just in time for company from France. I have had this new kitchen for a year now, and I am still just as happy as the day it was completed. I highly recommend Chad and Kitchensmith.
