A 2022 customer said Dale and his team took down some trees for them, and that when they called about an urgent down tree between their yard and a neighbor's, the company came out the same day to inspect and the job was completed within 48 hours. A 2024 customer who had moved to Ridgefield said Knapp Bros had done work for them twice, once on an urgent basis for a big limb that fell during a storm and once for a scheduled whole-yard fall pruning, with complete cleanup and prices they called reasonable and fair. A 2023 customer said Dale provided a breakdown of the costs and described the pricing as fair and transparent. A 2025 customer called Dale Knapp their go-to person for tree service and said he was on time. A 2023 customer said three phone calls trying to get woodchips went unanswered.

Dale Knapp is our go-to-guy for tree service. Informative, on time and great value for money. Can't do better than Dale.
Knapp Bros has done work for me twice now since moving to Ridgefield a year ago, once on an urgent basis for a big limb that fell during a storm and now for a scheduled whole-yard fall pruning. Dale is super-knowledgable about trees (and their health and otherwise) and gives good advice. They have done terrific work, exactly as promised, with complete cleanup. Prices are reasonable and fair, no complaint. I will be using them again. (Be aware there are several Knapp Tree companies in the area, all sort-of related by family but they are separate businesses. This review is for Knapp Brothers Tree Service, Dale Knapp. I don't know the others.)
Knapp Brothers has been my go to tree expert for over 2 decades. Dayle is as knowledgeable as they come and will talk you through the whole process. He is timely, thorough and dependable. If you are in need of some tree work, or just need an experts opinion, you can’t go wrong with Knapp Brothers.
Avoid. Three phone calls to try and get woodchips with no response.
