I had a very frustrating experience with Knowles Mechanical regarding a service visit on September 30, 2025. I was originally told the service would cost $299, but I paid $230 that day with the understanding that the remaining $69 would be charged later. Instead, on January 2, 2026, the company suddenly charged my account $299 without notice or authorization. When I called to question the charge, I was told there had been confusion due to staffing issues and that someone would follow up with me to resolve it. Unfortunately, no one ever contacted me back despite my attempts to resolve the issue. Months later I received a summons claiming I hadn’t paid, which was extremely upsetting because I had documentation showing the payments and the unexpected charge. I contacted my bank and filed a dispute. After reviewing the transaction and the documentation, my bank determined the January charge was fraudulent and returned the money to me. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using this company to get everything in writing and closely monitor your billing. My experience involved unexpected charges, lack of communication, and a situation that escalated unnecessarily when it could have been resolved with a simple call back.
I am not a customer. However I did recently have a negative interaction with both an employee and subsequently the company. A Knowles Mechanical employee entered my house today uninvited and of their own accord. He was at the wrong location. My home is clearly numbered both on the mail box and the house. I was working in my attic and came down to find a man walking around the main floor. When asked what he was doing and to get out. He instead chose to question my house number. He did not identify himself or offer apology. I had to ask him and then instruct him to leave several times before he left. After contacting the company, their response was less than reassuring. Their main focus was to downplay and deflect what had occurred and left much to be desired in their attitude toward the incident.
Outstanding service. I dealt w a number of people. They all listened carefully to what I wanted. They explained the pros and cons of my options. They communicated w each other and the other vendors. There were no communication issues. Everything was completed in the time frame that we agreed on. The bill was exactly the same as the estimates and each item was clearly explained. I made some changes during the process. I contacted them evenings and weekends. I received immediate responses.
Solid experience overall. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the process. I'm satisfied with the results.
Great team. Great people to work with.
