Forty-seven years in the same trade, two employees, and almost no public paper trail — Lakeview Fence Co. is the kind of Dracut shop that runs on the phone and word of mouth rather than on reviews. The company says it has been "enclosing spaces since 1980", run by partners Larry Morin and Ken Paradis, and BBB's file on it goes back to 1979. Its own site lists a wide range for a two-person outfit: chain link, ornamental, wood and stockade, vinyl, plus guardrails, security fencing, pool enclosures, gazebos and pergolas, and temporary construction fence and pedestrian barriers. It names Dracut, Lowell, Chelmsford and Andover as its area, and claims to be fully insured. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade with no accreditation and no published complaints. The honest caveat is how little anyone has written about them: five Google ratings averaging 4.2, and only two written reviews across every source. That is not enough to say anything confident about how they perform. What exists splits — one customer described Larry helping choose a fence and the crew replacing a twenty-year-old cemented-in fence through heavy rock; the one review in the last six months is a 1-star complaint that has nothing to do with the fencing itself, describing the owner behaving badly toward high-school kids. Fencing-only contractors aren't required to hold a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, so there's nothing missing on that front. Worth a call if you want a long-established local shop for a straightforward fence, guardrail or pool enclosure in the Merrimack Valley, and you're comfortable judging them on a conversation rather than a review history. Ask for recent local addresses you can drive by, get the insurance certificate they advertise, and pin the scope and schedule down in writing.
