Kitchen and bath renovations, a condo rehabilitation and repairs after ice-dam damage are among the jobs Landmark Associates’ customers described in reviews from 2016 and 2017. The Hopedale company says it provides residential, multi-family and commercial construction and insurance restoration across Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Southern New Hampshire. It says Tony Chiarelli founded the business in 2001 and remains its founder and CEO. A June 2017 Houzz reviewer described spending six months on a major kitchen and bath renovation in an older Newton home. After obtaining multiple bids, the homeowners chose Tony’s team. The customer praised the quality of the work and attention to detail, and said project manager Donnie answered questions promptly. The account also described unexpected costs after walls were opened; the customer said the team resolved the problem at a fair cost. The crew arrived by 7 a.m., sometimes worked six days a week and cleaned the job site daily. In October 2017, another Houzz customer said Donnie Donahue led a completed rehabilitation of a 1,750-square-foot condo in an all-concrete building. The customer described the team as patient and polite, and said they listened and fixed things until the customer was pleased. A July 2016 reviewer described water damage on three levels of a 4,000-square-foot home. Tony’s crew removed damaged drywall, floors, crown molding and wainscoting; after the home dried out, the renovation team rebuilt the damaged areas. That customer also credited the team with helping negotiate insurance coverage for the full renovation cost. A November 2021 Houzz reviewer alleged poor communication, overcharging and refusal to take responsibility for incorrectly completed or nonworking items after completion. A November 2019 Google reviewer called the company incompetent and urged readers to avoid it. In December 2020, a different Google reviewer praised Tony for helping answer questions while they waited to work with him in the future. Landmark’s Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active under CHIARELLI LANDMARK ASSOCIATES, INC. Google reports 4.4 stars from five ratings; Houzz reports 4.0 from four.
