Landmark Associates is a Hopedale general contractor whose work spans large remodels, additions, painting, coatings, masonry, and water-damage repairs. A Massachusetts registry check dated August 24, 2026 shows its home-improvement contractor registration 161055 as active, and Procore describes the company as full-service with painting and concrete-coatings divisions. The written customer history is older but specific. In 2017, a Newton homeowner described a six-month kitchen-and-bath renovation with careful work, responsive project management, and a clean site; another 2017 homeowner said the team completed a complicated concrete-building condo rehab and fixed items until the result met expectations. A July 2016 account described rapid drying, removal, and rebuilding after ice-dam water damage across three floors, including help with the insurance process. Those examples describe jobs from 2016–2017 rather than current practice. There is a serious counterweight. A November 2021 Houzz reviewer reported extremely poor communication, being dragged along and overcharged, and claimed the company took no responsibility for incorrect or nonworking work. A December 2019 Google review simply called the company incompetent and said to run. Google shows 4.4 stars from five ratings, while Houzz shows 4.0 from four, so the written accounts deserve a closer read than a single average. Landmark looks best suited to homeowners seeking a substantial renovation or repair project who are willing to establish communication, scope, responsibility for defects, and change-order terms in writing. Before booking, confirm who will manage the job day to day, how water-damage or waterproofing work will be documented, and exactly what the quoted price covers.
This group has extremely poor communication. Highly recommend going with a different group they will drag you along and overcharge you. Once they complete the job they claim absolutely no responsibility for anything that is done incorrectly or anything that does not work. Run as fast as you can. There are many other companies that are far better and much more professional than this group.
Tony is a very nice and smart guy! Always looking to help answer our questions while we are waiting to work with him in the future! Class act!
very nice, real pro's, highly recommended
Incompetent ..... Never seen such incompetence in my life. Don't walk away RUN
Landmark Associates team led by Donnie Donahue completed a total rehab of my 1750 SF condo. It was a somewhat complicated job as the building is all concrete. They were professional, patient and polite. My neighbor asked me when my construction was going to start when they had already been working for four weeks. They listened and fixed things until they were done to my satisfaction. I would work with them again but my place is perfect now.
