Lantern Energy does energy audits, air sealing and insulation work. A 2024 customer described an energizeCT energy audit and air sealing service in which Mikey and his team sealed the house and replaced shower heads with more efficient fixtures. That 2024 customer said the team filed for an exemption with the utility after an insulated crawlspace attic made the home ineligible for an Eversource attic insulation rebate, and recovered well over $1000 in rebates. The company's website describes residential and commercial electrical contracting, along with HVAC, weatherization and site work. A 2025 customer said Lantern insulated the attic, the garage and within all the walls. A 2025 Reddit commenter said an energy audit cost very little and was noticeable right away. In 2023, a Reddit commenter described an audit and an insulation install over two visits, adding that it took months after calling for the first appointment. A 2022 customer said Kyle and Devin insulated the basement. A recent customer gave one star, saying the company reached out at least five times to reschedule a home energy assessment and the tech arrived with a different understanding of the scope of work; that customer canceled the visit. A 2023 customer said a quote left out basement ceiling insulation and a promised new estimate had still not arrived as of July 2023. A 2022 customer said blown-in insulation choked off the attic soffits and that the attic now gets to 130 degrees or more in summer. A 2024 customer said Lantern's insulation quote was much higher than two other estimates. Lantern Energy LLC's Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0622263, is active on the state registry.

I scheduled a home energy assessment at my convenience on the date of my choosing. The company reached out to me no less than five times trying to reschedule. Then 35 minutes prior to the appointment I received an email asking me to reschedule yet again. I did not see the email. The tech arrived at my home saying he just received the assignment andwith a completely different understanding of the scope of work than what was presented to me by the previous email information. The tech was awkward and unable to communicate well. And what he was attempting to do in my home was unacceptable. I canceled the visit and will not deal with this company ever again and I suggest you don’t either.
Steve and his crew did an incredible job at my home. They were personable and friendly on top of the great work they did. I will recommend them to anyone who needs insulation done!
Jake and Gabe came out and not only were the kind, and clean with their work, but where also super friendly, and educated myself and my partner throughout every step of the process. They were a fantastic representation for Lantern. Lantern themselves was timely, and had clear communication prior to and up until appointments. Would recommend them and their services to anyone looking to have an energy audit!
I had a GREAT experience with Lantern. They insulated my attic, garage, and within all the walls. They were courteous, professional, and extremely informative and were able to answer all of my questions. They were also great with my 3 dogs! I highly recommend Lantern for the quality and thoroughness of their work as well as their professionalism! A job very well done with almost immediate results!
