Larson's Foundation Waterproofing is the operation homeowners tend to find after a wet basement, and the person they meet is the owner. Customers name Paul Larson directly in review after review from 2021 through 2026 — he answers the phone, comes out to diagnose the problem, and is on site for the work. A homeowner writing in 2024 called him "a local independent contractor" and said that was the point. Google carries a 4.9-star average from 91 ratings, and the written record is unusually consistent about what the work actually is: sealing settling and structural cracks in poured and fieldstone foundations, injecting polyurethane into voids, installing sump pumps, running French drains and downspout extensions, and waterproofing bulkheads. In an April 2024 review a homeowner described him digging a deeper sump pit, running a new discharge line out into the yard and setting a half-horsepower pump with battery backup; a September 2024 reviewer wrote that he hose-tested the wall, traced the leak to missing mortar below the soil line, and sealed that corner from outside rather than opening the basement. The most repeated praise is about the work he talks people out of. Reviewers writing in 2024 and 2023 said other companies had quoted full interior French drain systems and that he proposed a smaller, less invasive fix instead; one homeowner in 2023 wrote that he inspected their foundation and told them the cracks were cosmetic and did not need repairing at all. Several describe him coming back after the next heavy storm to confirm the basement stayed dry. Two one-star accounts sit against that. A reviewer in December 2021 wrote that after spending more than $10,000 on French drains, downspout extensions and crack sealing the same water problem remained, and that follow-up work under the warranty was refused even when they offered to pay for it. A 2022 one-star — written by a friend of the homeowners rather than the customer — alleged a $24,000 quote for a wall a retired engineer said was sound, and described repeated hang-up calls afterwards. Both are several years old, and the recent record carries no complaints, but the warranty account is specific enough to raise. He is the right call for a diagnosable water problem — a leaking crack, a wet bulkhead, a failing sump pump — more than for an open-ended whole-basement contract. Before booking, get the scope and the warranty terms in writing, and ask plainly what happens if water returns after the first big storm.
I highly recommend Larson's Foundation Waterproofing we used them to repair some settling cracks and seal our basement before we finish it . From start to finish, Paul was professional, responsible, and extremely reliable. He did an excellent job repairing the cracks in our foundation and thoroughly sealing our basement, giving us confidence that the work was done right. What impressed us most was the commitment to customer service. Paul took the time to answer our questions and even offered to come back and inspect the work before our contractor puts up the basement walls if there are any concerns. That level of follow-through and accountability is hard to find. If you're looking for a trustworthy company that stands behind its work, this is an excellent choice
Very knowledgeable and professional!!! I would highly recommend Paul.
