Leahy's Fuels is a Danbury fuel company, and a newstimes.com headline describes it celebrating 100 years as a family business. A recent customer who has used Leahy's for both oil and propane for over 40 years says its deliveries are always reliable, even under adverse weather conditions, and that it once came out during a week-long power outage to make sure they had plenty of propane for their whole-house generator. A recent customer found a leak in an old oil tank, and Leahy's got to the house the same day to check it out; that customer said Dan Notaro was a pleasure to deal with through the process and described the install team as knowledgeable, friendly and professional. A recent customer who was fed up with paraco says Dave explained how Leahy's operated and the switchover of tanks went without a hitch. A recent customer describes a back-up generator propane tank installation with two tanks, trenching, connections and a gas fill, and says Leahy's included the trenching. A 2026 customer said that after the inside temperature started dropping, the tech was out by 6:15, diagnosed a bad inducer motor, left an electric heater, and came back a short while later to say the heat was up and working; that customer thanked Larry and Leahy's. A 2026 customer said their furnace broke down one week before Christmas, and Leahy's came out quickly, gave an estimate and came back to install it. A 2024 customer said Dan arrived as scheduled to look at a 41-year-old boiler with nearly non-existent hot water pressure and presented the options, and the customer chose to replace it with an Energy Kenetics System 2000 boiler system. A 2026 customer on auto delivery said their propane tank ran dry and Leahy's would not give a delivery date. A 2026 customer said a newly installed propane fireplace never worked properly and repairs were slow to schedule. A 2024 customer said fire logs bought from Leahy's still did not work after two months and two trips to the house. A 2024 customer said their card was charged for an oil tank fill with a Saturday delivery, and on Monday they were told Leahy's would be in the area the next day. A 2024 customer who bought a house with Leahy's propane service said Leahy's took its tanks over the weekend with no call or notice before the new tanks were in place. A 2025 customer said the company tried to overcharge and collect on bills that had already been paid.

I found a surprise leak in my old oil tank. I gave Leahy's a call and their team was able to get to my house the same day to check it out. Dan Notaro has been excellent to work with through the process, and their install team was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Happy with the experience and would recommend.

I have used Leahy’s services for both oil and propane for over 40 years. Their deliveries are always reliable, even under adverse weather conditions. They even Proactivelycame out once during a week long power outage to make sure I had plenty of propane for our whole house generator. My husband who was terminally ill, was on oxygen at the time and we never had to worry about losing power. They have also helped us with various installations and tank moves. Their technicians are knowledgeable and hard-working. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service.
It was Christmas Eve of 2024. We were hosting Christmas Dinner the next day. We needed propane for our log set. Delivery driver could not make it up the driveway because of a steep hill and surprise overnight snow. Amazingly, the driver CAME BACK LATER and filled our tank, and totally saved the day for our Christmas dinner! This was one of the biggest bail-outs in history, and that driver did it out of the kindness in his heart. I called back to thank them, and later learned that the driver had sadly passed. Leahy's is a solid company, with great people working there. I will never forget that driver's kindness. Its something that I still think about during the holidays.
