Poolside pavers, retaining walls and routine garden work all feature in customers' accounts of Lightning Landscape Inc. The Pelham company says Adam Baldera established it in 2004 as a property-maintenance operation and still owns and operates it. Its website advertises residential, commercial and industrial landscaping, hardscaping, property maintenance and snow removal across New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Southern Maine. Google showed 4.5 stars from 85 ratings in August 2026, and BBB listed an A+ grade. A June 2026 customer described replacing pavers around an inground pool: the crew removed the old pavers, prepared the surface underneath and left the area clean. The same customer said Lightning had also replaced a retaining wall in 2022. In a November 2025 review, another homeowner described a retaining wall, walkway and extended patio, plus an extra walkway added during the project. A June 2026 customer reported garden weeding, bed edging and new mulch, then signed up for seasonal mowing. Another described work on overgrown beds, apple-tree pruning and mulch. Customers also describe grading and excavation. A July 2026 reviewer said Adam's team arrived within days for backyard grading. An April reviewer said an old inground pool was removed and filled within one day. In May 2024, homeowners described three days of digging out buried logs and stumps beneath a sinking lawn, followed by filling and hydroseeding. Irrigation work appears in 2025 accounts: an August reviewer said an irrigation system was completed in two days, while a June reviewer described sprinkler-head service and correcting sprinkler mapping. Scheduling experiences differ. A July 2026 customer praised preparation of a playground area to fit their timetable, and a May reviewer reported same-week mulch installation. But a June reviewer said they never received a scheduling callback after an estimate. Another June customer described a three-week wait without updates and an arrival at 3:30 for a noon appointment, calling the work average. In September 2025, a prospective customer said an estimate appointment was cancelled 30 minutes beforehand because the company was too busy for new clients. A May 2024 reviewer also reported a missed appointment. There are complaints about damage, pricing and treatment as well. A June 2025 customer alleged sprayed mulch covered plants and shrubs, causing longstanding plants to die. In August 2022, another alleged delivered loam contained salt that killed grass and trees, and said the company blamed their contractor rather than resolving it. A June 2022 customer praised the loam itself but said they felt overcharged and could not obtain a refund. An April 2026 reviewer accused Adam and assistant Erica of rude and dishonest treatment.
