Two workers came and finished a new furnace install in one day, as promised, with no hidden costs and the site left clean — that is how a recent Google customer described a job by Link Mechanical Services, a heating and cooling company. The company says it has been in business 34 years, and the Connecticut state registry lists Link Mechanical Services Inc as the holder of an active HVAC license, number HTG.0387433-S1. A recent customer said technicians Bryan and Tim completed a system installation ahead of schedule and left everything spotless inside and outside the home. A recent reviewer whose gas furnace the company installed about 15 years ago said a newer mini-split project went just as smoothly. In a 2026 review, a customer said Alan found a problem with the pump on an air conditioning system and it was corrected in one afternoon. A 2025 customer said Chris and Tomasso replaced a high efficiency natural gas boiler in about 6 hours and stayed to test the system before they left. A 2025 Reddit commenter said they paid $28 a month for a plan covering spring and fall inspections and cleanings, plus a discount on other parts and labor. A recent Google customer said the company charged over $16k for a system that isn't sufficient for their home, had multiple problems including a leak, and that it took a year-long court battle to get them to do the right thing. A 2026 Reddit commenter wrote of "Truly comically horrible customer service once the contract is signed." A 2025 customer whose furnace was installed in 2022 said a representative was rude on the phone and told them they were now considered a new customer, with no visits to new customers' homes until December. A 2024 customer said they were charged $130 for a technician to check over a water heater and quoted $4,600 for a new tank. A 2024 customer said a technician found that smart thermostat wiring from a mini-split install was done incorrectly, and that the first floor had gone 12 days without heat at the time of the review. A 2023 customer said the electrical work on a heat pump install was done incorrectly, which caused the system to fail multiple times.

“One commenter mentioned Link Mechanical, which is good.”
“I had Link Mechanical in New Britain do that work. Link does all my preventative maintenances”
“But some work also was done in 1999, including the installation of the propane tank and a heating system by Link Mechanical Services of New Britain, a company that also has done work for the Tomassos.”
“In early spring of that year, Christopher Link, of Link Mechanical Services of New Britain, installed a new propane heating system and water heater for $5,680.”
We just had a new furnace installed. They were honest and fair. There was no pressure and they gave many options. They were easy to reach and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. They were able to scheduled quickly and the process was straight forward. 2 workers came and completed the job in one day as promised. There were no hidden costs. They left the site clean.
Had the best experience with link mechanical The techs , Tim, Roger And Ryan were top notch Installed a new A/C here. Very efficient professional and cleaned everything up Highly recommend LINK MECHANICAL
We’ve used Link Mechanical for two major projects—our gas furnace about 15 years ago and more recently installing mini splits—and have been very happy with both experiences. They’ve always been reliable, professional, and easy to work with. The quality of the installation has held up extremely well over time, and the recent mini split project was just as smooth and well done as the original furnace install. Communication was clear, the work was efficient, and everything has been running perfectly. Highly recommend them for heating and cooling work!
With so many options out there, steer clear! This company charged me over $16k for a system that isn’t sufficient for my home. Have had multiple problems including a leak. Even tried to charge me an extra $1800 for their mistake. Pulled permits late and left me to deal with it…To top it off they found some lame excuse not to honor their money back guarantee. It took a year long court battle to get them to do the right thing. Stay away!
I had the pleasure of having Devon work on our central AC unit. He was fast, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him for future AC maintenance and look forward to working with him again. Really nice guy. Thank you Devon!
