Local Flow Logistics is less a two-guys-and-a-truck moving company than a warehouse with a delivery arm. It works out of a building on Keith Way in Hingham, and the service it sells is a chain of custody: receive the shipment, hold it in climate-controlled storage, then deliver and place it inside the house. Its own listings describe the same shape — receiving and inspection, storage, white-glove delivery, inventory management — and its LinkedIn page pitches last-mile storage and delivery to businesses and residents across the Boston area, the South Shore, the Cape and the islands. A localitybiz listing calls it a moving and storage provider for the South Shore and Cape Cod, and its Google reviewers are people who moved households through that warehouse, so the residential side is real. That shape matters when you compare quotes. The pitch is built around jobs with storage in the middle — a closing date that slipped, a house that isn't ready, furniture that arrives before you do — rather than a same-day apartment move across town. The customer history is short. Five reviews sit behind a 5.0 average across 8 Google ratings, all from 2025 and all on Google, with the praise running to punctuality, clear communication and careful handling. Consistent, but thin and single-source — not enough to tell you how they handle a job that goes sideways. One thing to raise on the call: the carrier database carriernetwork.ai lists Local Flow Logistics LLC under USDOT 3881456 as holding inactive FMCSA authority for interstate transport. Carriers do let that authority lapse and re-file, and it says nothing about intrastate Massachusetts work, but if your move crosses a state line, ask them to confirm current interstate authority in writing before you book. Worth a call if your move needs a warehouse in the middle — receiving, storage, then white-glove delivery on the South Shore or the Cape. Get the storage rate, the interstate authority, and who actually drives the truck on a long-haul leg into the written estimate.

LFL warehouse flawlessly received a cross-country, full-home move requiring several months of storage before delivery to a Cape Cod location. 2018 LFL moved an elderly family member from Long Island to assisted living on Cape Cod. Antiques and artwork necessitated special handling and care. 2019 LFL assisted in emptying the home of a departed family member requiring disposal, sale, storage, and delivery to multiple locations of the household contents during the challenging 2020 period. LFL expediently moved a young adult to a graduate school apartment and later to a city apartment for work. Both moves required warehouse storage, multiple location pickups and drop-offs due to timing differences and furniture acquisition. 2022 & 2025 LFL twice orchestrated the moves of an elderly person designed to minimize the anxiety and confusion for that person. Pickup, Dropoff, and Setting up the new locations to look familiar were all completed while the person was enjoying an afternoon out with a caregiver. 2024 & 2025.
