Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning is a Boston company built specifically around one thing: flat-rate air duct and dryer vent cleaning, positioned explicitly against what it calls the bait-and-switch pricing common in the industry. It uses NADCA source-removal standards, backs the work with before/after camera proof and a money-back guarantee, and — unusually for a Boston-area home services company — has a genuinely deep, years-long review history: 338 reviews since 2017, most of them detailed and specific. Reviewers name individual technicians constantly and specifically — Jhordan, Ernesto, Bruno, Luis, Jose, David and Carlos, among others — describing multi-hour jobs where vents, blower motors and evaporator coils were all serviced, before-and-after photos shown, and debris cleaned up afterward. Several customers specifically call out the flat-fee, no-upselling pricing as the reason they chose Lowe's over competitors, with one saying they picked the company because it's BBB accredited and another calling it 'the real deal' compared to 'so many duct cleaning scammers.' More than one review describes a technician catching an unrelated issue — a furnace problem, a hole in a dryer vent — and flagging it unprompted. The complaints on file are thin and mostly vague. A 2025 review said a job took too long and left the thermostat not working, without further detail. A 2024 review said simply, 'Highly Disappointed with the cleaning,' with no specifics. An older 2019 Angi review described a technician who was on his phone for much of the visit and skipped removing most of the inlet grilles, calling the result 'average.' For duct or dryer-vent cleaning, this is one of the most thoroughly and consistently documented services in the area, with a pricing model reviewers specifically praise for its transparency. The handful of complaints are old or light on detail, which doesn't erase them but does put them in real context against hundreds of specific, positive accounts.
