We Clean Heat Pumps runs a narrow, sharply defined shop out of Jamaica Plain: they clean mini-splits, heat pumps, PTAC units, and the coils and condensers that go with them, and that focus shows up in a 4.9-star average across 179 Google ratings. Every review here describes a cleaning or maintenance visit, never an installation or a repair call. The pattern is consistent. A technician arrives, explains what's dirty and why, and often points out the before-and-after grime once the job is done. One recent customer had been relying on their installer's own maintenance plan and found the difference immediately after switching — the prior company had skipped critical areas, leaving the system struggling to cool, and a proper cleaning fixed it. Techs who get named again and again — John, Mark, Maeve, Devin, Eddy, and others — suggest a crew that sticks around rather than churns through hires, and several jobs describe cleaning three or more indoor units plus their outdoor condensers in a single visit. The last six months have been clean: fifteen reviews, all positive, with customers repeatedly citing clear explanations and tidy work. The longer history isn't spotless, though. A handful of older reviews describe real lapses — one customer found the interior head and filters still dirty after a visit, with a mess left on the porch and hardware missing; another reported a drain hose that wasn't cleared, which soaked a wood floor overnight; a third said the unit kept smelling even after the cleaning. Before booking, it's worth asking exactly what the visit covers — a straightforward filter-and-coil cleaning versus a fuller teardown of the unit — and how they'd handle it if something like a lingering odor or a drainage issue turns up mid-job. For a homeowner whose system just needs the seasonal buildup, dust, and mold cleared out, the volume and consistency of these reviews make a strong case.

The We Clean Heat Pumps tech thoroughly cleaned out 2 blowers & compressor of the mini-split. Previously I used the installer company for the maintenance but unbeknownst to me they neglected critical areas so the system was inefficient & struggled to cool the space properly. I'm very pleased w/results & will use this company again

The service was fantastic. Esteban and Serena arrived on time, explained the process, got right to work, and completed a thorough cleaning of my 18K mini-split unit - conderser and evaporator coil. Bad odor from the AC is gone. Great work! Thank you.

The technician was great, friendly and very tidy. He did a thorough job and left the space clean and tidy. He convinced me of the importance and value of getting the heat pump cleaned and checked out periodically.
