Tom Lynch of Lynch Pellet Stove Services often talks people through a broken stove before they have paid him anything. The Hampstead, NH business installs, cleans, services and repairs pellet stoves across Southern New Hampshire, and says it has done so since 2012; its BBB grade is A+ and Google shows 4.6 stars from 120 ratings. In a March 2025 review, a customer whose Harman P43 kept blowing fuses said he walked them through diagnosing it over the phone, and it turned out to be the igniter wiring. A December 2024 customer said Lynch told them how to fix a control board they had not even bought from the company, and in a December 2025 review a customer said Tom diagnosed a seizing motor from a video and had them running a few days later. A January 2026 customer said he drove an hour to get them a part before a storm with negative temperatures. Customers in 2024 and 2025 said technician Matt arrived on time and fixed the problem; in a January 2024 review he diagnosed a dead stove, fetched the part and had it repaired the same day. An October 2024 customer said Tom and Matt took apart an entire stove to find a small melted wire. A January 2025 customer found the voicemail full in busy season, but a text got them scheduled promptly. Not every call went well. In a February 2025 review, a customer said they paid $249 for a 30-minute visit that did not fix the problem, and that a text exchange ended with them being told they would have to pay for a return visit. A July 2025 customer said he spoke in a denigrating way and suggested buying a different stove, and a November 2024 customer objected to $100 for getting a fan moving. In December 2023, a customer said they had to text for everything and got no answers to their questions, and in February 2022 a customer said the company was out to overcharge.
