M&M Skylights' customer accounts include both a difficult third-floor replacement and a complaint about an installation that opened a roof and bedroom wall. The company advertises residential and commercial skylight installation, replacement and repair, says it is an authorized VELUX installer, and offers free estimates. Its stated service area includes Nashua, Salem, Concord and Portsmouth, along with Worcester, Boston and Portland. In an April 2024 Angi review, a customer reported paying a 50% deposit for a skylight installation. They said measurements were not re-verified, the roof and bedroom wall were opened despite an obstruction, and no permit had been pulled. The customer reported that the deposit was later refunded. A May 2021 HomeAdvisor reviewer also warned against giving Scott a down payment and called him a crook; that is the reviewer's accusation. More recently, an August 2026 Thumbtack customer said the price was not what they expected. An older skylight customer described a different result. In a June 2020 Thumbtack review, they praised replacement of a skylight on a third-floor roof with difficult access and said they planned to hire the company again. The platform averages differ: Thumbtack lists 4.4 stars from 40 ratings, while Angi and HomeAdvisor each list 2.3 stars from three ratings. Earlier customers also hired M&M for interior tasks. An August 2019 reviewer said Tim installed replacement baseboard moulding before the customer moved out of an apartment, praising the prompt reply under a time constraint. A July 2019 customer was less pleased with chair-rail installation. They said the rail was nailed in place but nail holes and cut seams were left unsealed, making the finished appearance disappointing for the price. The customer explicitly said they had not expected painting to be included. In a January 2019 review, another customer said Scott missed the initial appointment because of an accident on a prior job. They described him making up for it by fixing a dishwasher leak, rehanging a blind and installing two cabinet-door knobs free of charge, with responsive communication. Houzz lists skylight installation and repair, motorized blinds and solar tube installation among the company's offerings.
