In a September 2025 Google review, a customer wrote that Matt had done a lot of work for them, including tracing out wires, and that he explained what was what along the way; they recommend him for any electrical work. M.J. Bennett LLC describes itself on its website as keeping the power flowing for homes that need safer wiring and for businesses that can't afford to be down, and it advertises 24/7 emergency service. Its Vermont home improvement registration (174.0000643) is active. Another September 2025 Google reviewer said they have used the company many times, from small bathroom remodels to whole house remodels, and call it first. A third that month described a job on two apartment buildings as very well priced, and a fourth thanked Matthew for being efficient, knowledgeable and quick to respond. In October 2023 a Google reviewer wrote, "We call Matt for all our electrical needs!" In November 2024, a Google reviewer wrote that Matt quoted some small projects, promised to come the next morning, and then did not answer calls, messages or a polite text over the following days. In a June 2020 HomeAdvisor review, a customer described waiting a month for a deck job to start, the worker leaving on the first day with only the frame up, missed return dates, the deck finished without railings or stairs, and a dispute over an invoice for 12 hours when they counted 8. Two May 2020 HomeAdvisor reviewers wrote that he agreed on a price or gave a commitment and then kept pushing out the schedule; one said he finally replied that he was passing on the job because he had too many projects lined up. Both HomeAdvisor and Angi show 2.4 stars from 5 ratings, and Google shows 4.3 stars from 6.
Have used them many times, from small bathroom remodels to whole house remodels. Excellent service, easy to work with, great communication. Highly recommend as they are always my first call.
Unbelievable response, Total commitment to the job he did for us on two apartment buildings. Very well priced
Matthew is efficient, knowledgeable and responds quickly. I’ve appreciated the service and commitment to his workmanship. Thanks Matthew.
Matt has done a lot of work for me. He is very thorough with his work. I had him do a lot of tracing out wires and he explained everything to me as to what was what.. I highly recommend him for any electrical work that you need.
I had an agreement with Matt to come and do some small projects at my house. He gave me a quote, I accepted and everything was good to go. He promised he will be there the next morning. I waited a few days and decided to check on him make sure he is still planning on coming. He never answered my phone calls, or messages. I even texted him politely and asked him to let me know if he is still planning on coming or not, so I can hire someone else as time was an important factor. While I understand that unexpected things do happen and people get busy, I believe is extremely unprofessional to ignore your customers.
