Manley Plumbing & Heating

A 2025 customer's furnace stopped working on a 10 degree day. That customer said that within 20 minutes of their call to the answering service Dana reached out, made room in a busy schedule to get to the house, and identified and fixed the problem for a very fair price. Manley Plumbing & Heating works on both halves of its name, and the company says it offers 24/7 emergency service and gives an upfront, guaranteed price before any work begins. A 2023 customer said Dana diagnosed and fixed the issue with their hot water baseboard heating system within an hour, after a call at 8 am and an arrival by 11 am. A 2024 customer said the job was a complete boiler install. A 2024 customer whose boiler failed on a Sunday morning said the company called back promptly and helped them resolve a simple problem by phone. A 2022 customer said the tech came with a price list, tuned up their furnace and hooked up a new tank, and that the company mailed a refund check a month later because the tech had done the math wrong. On the plumbing side, a 2024 customer said Dana and Thomas replaced a 40-year-old solar water system with a new heat-pump water heater, put in two new showers and replaced copper drain pipes with PVC. That 2024 customer said the home was left so clean it wasn't obvious anyone had been there, and that when a couple of tiny leaks turned up afterwards they came right back out to fix them. A 2023 customer who needed an urgent hot water tank replacement said the assessment and installation were all done within 24 hours. A 2024 customer said Dana checked their water heater and was honest about what was likely at play rather than charging hundreds in parts. A 2022 customer who spent years in St. Albans looking for a good plumber said the company worked around a problem with how the plumbing fit a new kitchen. A 2025 customer objected to an $89.99 estimate fee, said a copy of the estimate never arrived, and wrote that doing the work themselves cost about $240 against a verbal quote of $1252. A 2023 customer said the company looked at their boiler, said it needed replacing and charged $200+, and that another plumber then fixed it for $1500.00 with a new coil and a mixing valve. A 2021 customer said a promised call back about a small job never came, called the company overpriced, and said it would not install pre-purchased parts.
