Mansfield Environmental Group describes itself as a local, family-owned business with over 20 years of experience, offering services throughout the state of Vermont. A recent Google customer said Dan and his team tested for asbestos and removed it all within a week, and called his team professional. A recent customer described quick, reasonably priced asbestos abatement for their basement, and said the company also came by for a mold inspection and does not push services that are not needed. A 2026 customer said they quickly helped solve several issues with asbestos and mold in their basement. In a 2023 r/vermont thread, a commenter said they used Mansfield Environmental for the actual abatement. One recent customer objected to $850 for an asbestos test: they called the $250 for the sample kits and sending them to the lab reasonable, but the $600 for one person to walk around a clean, empty house for an hour absurd. That customer also said the company hardly answers its phone.
“Kd does testing and consultations, companies like Mansfield Environmental do the abatements”
“we used Mansfield Environmental for the actual abatement”
We had a great experience. Quick clean work at a fair price. I would use them again.
Dan and his team were amazing. Quickly tested for asbestos and they were able to come in and remove it all within a week. His team was professional and did the job quickly and did it right. My kids loved the team in our house and even asked me if they could come back! Strongly recommend this local company.
$850 for an asbestos test. $250 for the cost of the sample kits and sending them to the lab, which is completely reasonable, but $600 for 1 guy to walk around a clean, empty house for an hour is absurd. They also hardly answer their phone.
They provided us quick, reasonably priced asbestos abatement for our basement. Giving our family peace of mind. We will be using them in the future for larger projects. Highly recommend. Also, they came by recently for a mold inspection. This company and Dan are caring, compassionate, and do not push services that are not needed to make your home or space safe and functional. These kinds of home repairs are stressful and Mansfield Environmental and Dan are a team you can trust.
Highly recommend! They came in and quickly helped us solve several issues with asbestos and mold in our basement. They were fast, friendly and very professional - would absolutely use again. So excited to be able to use more basement again.
