MAP Building Specialties is a Sagamore Beach insulation contractor, with a second office in Seekonk, that also installs seamless gutters, gutter guards, shower doors and fireplaces for homes and businesses across eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands, and Rhode Island. Its registered construction supervisor holds an active Massachusetts license, matching the number the company lists on its own site, and the company separately self-reports a Rhode Island contractor registration that hasn't been independently checked. The strongest specific account on file is a 2024 review of a fireplace-insert conversion, where a customer described the process with representative David Gendron as smooth from the first call through completion. A 2025 Reddit thread also placed the company doing gutters and insulation work in the Sagamore Beach area and noted it appears to stay busy, subcontracting to another crew on larger jobs. Set against that are three one-star reviews spanning 2022 to late 2024. Two describe calling repeatedly for service or an estimate without ever getting a callback — one in 2022 specifically called the office's phone manner rude. A third, from November 2024, raised a safety concern: that the company's spray-insulation crew needs to confirm a building is empty of people before spraying foam insulation. The same April 2024 review that reported the no-callback problem also described the company's trucks as being driven recklessly. For insulation, gutter or specialty-install work in this area, MAP is a licensed, long-running operation with at least one well-documented smooth project on record — but the repeated unreturned-call complaints and the spray-safety concern are worth asking about directly before booking.
“MAP in the sagamore beach area does gutters and insulation but there name doesn’t really help. I see gutter monkeys trucks as subs on bigger jobs around the mid-cape the seem to stay busy.”
I worked with David Gendron from Map Insulation located in Sagamore Beach as the representative to help me install a Heat & Glo propane fireplace insert into what was a wood burning fireplace. The process from our first contact until completion was absolutely flawless. He was very professional, informed, made sure I understood the options and costs, and the installation process was done quickly and efficiently. I absolutely love my gas insert fireplace now and highly recommend them for this service. They were knowledgeable, professional, helpful, efficient, and delivered an excellent product. Would definitely do business with them again. Highly recommend.
Your insulation sprayers need to check the WHOLE building to make sure nobody is inside before they start spraying toxic insulation foam.
I attempted to call once for service and never got a call back. As an aside, their truck drivers must have outstanding insurance, they drive like lunatics
Horrible customer service, HORRIBLE. I've called numerous times, yet not even a call back to schedule an appointment for an estimate, and I live 3 miles away. The receptionist was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Never have delt with such contractors ever. Would never use MAP, even if they did it for free. Asta LA vista,, AH's !
