Marksman, LLC sprays for mosquitoes, ticks and other outdoor pests. Its website says Ryan Roy has been in the pesticide-application business in one capacity or another for approximately 20 years and has been part of thousands of mosquito applications. A recent customer said they prepaid and the company showed up once, a year after it had skipped a treatment. That customer said the owner, Ryan, has stopped responding, does not answer the phone and is ignoring a request for their money back. A 2026 customer who had recommended the company for more than 10 years said they were home when it supposedly treated the property last season and did not believe anyone came. That customer said four emails about it went unanswered for two months. The company's Connecticut pesticide licence, PMBR.03299, held by MARKSMAN, LLC, is expired on the state registry, which marks it a lapsed renewal. On Google it shows 2.3 stars from 3 ratings.
They took my money after I prepaid and showed up once. I was a customer for five years and gave them the benefit of the doubt last year when they skipped treatment. The owner Ryan has stopped responding, doesn’t answer the phone and is ignoring my request for my money back. Same thing happened to my neighbors. Stay away.
Not sure what happened to this company. We had a great relationship, even recommended them to others for more than 10 years. Last season, they supposedly treated our property, but I was home at the time they supposedly came, and our septic tank was being cleaned at the same time...no way they were there too. When I emailed them to inform them that the tech was not being truthful, I was ghosted for two months (4 separate emails). Now it's the new year, and I received an email to sign up again this season. When I said, "not sure we will be using you this year after being ghosted last fall", I got a "sorry to hear that." That's what you get after more than a decade of service????
