A circuit kept tripping and knocking out power to an 82-year-old mother's TV room. A recent Thumbtack customer said Matt of MB Electric responded within 5 minutes, arrived within the hour, and, when the issue returned that day, came back at 7 PM free of charge, rewiring switches and realigning wires in the circuit panel until it was fixed. The company's website lists service upgrades, new circuits, lighting, EV chargers, generators, pools and hot tubs. It holds a 4.9-star Google average from 27 ratings and a 4.6-star Thumbtack average from 25, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. A recent HomeAdvisor customer said Matt replaced an old electric service panel quickly and neatly. A recent Google customer said he installed a Tesla wall connector and cleaned up after himself. A recent customer said MB Electric rewired their pool house and gazebo with GFI protection. A 2025 customer said the company came out in about 2 hours to switch AC units on an electrical panel that the customer's original contractor had crosswired. A 2023 customer said an electric car charger install was set up in a couple of texts, from quote to a Thursday 10am slot to a texted invoice link. A 2025 HomeAdvisor customer called the costs too much: $250 for coming to the house, $26 for an Angi referral, and over $400 to replace a circuit. A 2024 Google customer who hired Matt to expand a bedroom closet said the trim, drywall taping and baseboards were left looking unfinished; that customer said Matt offered to come back and bill for time and material, then stopped responding, and that the repairs and painting cost an additional $1,500.
Matt is absolutely incredible! We just moved into a very old home that had numerous electrical issues - Matt came in and fixed everything, seriously putting our hearts at ease. He’s extremely thorough, courteous, and professional. He was exceptionally tidy and tackled a very large project in no time. He far exceeded all expectations, we HIGHLY recommend him!
The job was to replace an old electric service panel. Matt answered any questions that I had. The work was done quickly and neatly. Communication was good. Should the need arise, I would hire him again. One picture of old panel, one picture of semi finished new panel, one picture of new breakers.
Great job! He installed a Tesla wall connector. He did an excellent job and cleaned up after himself. Highly recommend.
I cannot say enough good things about Matt from MB Electric. I found MB Electric through Thumbtack after my 82-year-old mother began having electrical issues where a circuit kept tripping, causing her TV room to lose power — impacting her lights, internet, computer, and TV. Within 5 minutes of submitting a request on Thumbtack, Matt responded. Coincidentally, he was already in town and said he could be at my mother’s house within the hour. True to his word, he arrived around 11:30 AM and immediately began troubleshooting the issue. Because there were no obvious signs pointing to the cause, diagnosing the problem proved challenging. As many people know, hiring an electrician can become expensive quickly, but Matt was very mindful of that and genuinely did not want my mother to incur unnecessary charges. After identifying loose outlet wires and a potentially faulty circuit, Matt completed the full diagnosis and repair in about two hours. Unfortunately, the issue returned within a couple of hours of Matt leaving. After my mother and I exhausted our troubleshooting options while keeping Matt updated by text, he offered to return that evening at 7 PM, free of charge. Despite a two-hour round trip commute, Matt arrived as promised at 7 PM and spent another 1.5 hours on the job. After climbing through the attic, rewiring switches, and realigning wires in the circuit panel, the issue was fixed. Matt demonstrated incredible integrity, professionalism, and accountability. He stood behind his work and came back after hours to make things right without expecting additional payment. That level of honesty and customer service is rare today. We truly appreciated Matt’s dedication, and because of this experience, he has absolutely earned our future business. I highly recommend Matt and MB Electric.
Matthew was a pleasure to work with. Knowledgeable, skilled and hardworking. I would recommend to all my family and friends.
