McGuigan Electric LLC describes itself on its own site as a licensed and insured Sudbury-based electrical company serving homeowners in Sudbury, Concord, Wayland and Maynard, MA since 2019, and it offers free estimates. At a two-family house that needed major work, Sean McGuigan updated the electrical panels, redid wiring from inside to outside, installed two lighted fans in a vaulted ceiling, installed a baseboard heater with a thermostat, and added two outdoor motion-sensor lights, and that customer wrote that permits and inspections were scheduled and went through without a hitch. Over two weeks, Sean completed a service and panel upgrade for another customer, updated light fixtures and wiring, installed under cabinet lights, and helped troubleshoot some random wires and switches. Sean also installed an outlet in a tight spot, installed a bathroom light fixture in a pinch, and installed an outdoor yard outlet under a time crunch. McGuigan Electric wired a vanity light for one customer after finding a time by text. In 2025, Sean installed new lights in a basement, automatic lights in closets and dimmers around a house. In 2025, he did all the electrical for a bathroom remodel and put in a transfer switch for a generator, which that customer wrote required some real detective work due to the wiring in the house.

Sean was great to work with. He was friendly, professional, clean, and clearly takes pride in his work. The quality and attention to detail were excellent. I’d highly recommend Sean to anyone in Metrowest and will definitely use him again!
I now have an electrician for life! My two-family house now has a smooth, seamless, and safe electrical system inside and out. This old house needed major work, and Sean McGuigan did it perfectly and professionally, at a wonderfully reasonable rate. Permits and inspections were scheduled and went through without a hitch. He updated the electrical panels on both of my houses, redid wiring from inside to outside, installed an outdoor fixture that had no power at the switch, installed two lighted fans in a vaulted ceiling (they now run smoothly and quietly), installed a baseboard heater with a thermostat, and added two outdoor motion-sensor lights. He finished all of these projects in a short amount of time and works tirelessly. I already have more electrical work planned for next year and hope to have McGuigan Electric on my current house, and any future one. It’s rare to find work that is seamless, professional, and reasonably priced. I feel fortunate I did my research.
I reached out to McGuigan Electric to help with wiring for a vanity light. The response was quick and we were able to communicate through text to find a time that fit both our schedules well. Work was done quickly and reasonably - would definitely work with them again for future electrical work!
Working with Sean these past two weeks was a great experience! He competed a long grocery list of electrical work that included a service and panel upgrade, updating light fixtures and wiring, and installing under cabinet lights. He even helped me troubleshoot a couple random wires and switches scattered throughout the house. If I have more electrical work in the future, I’ll definitely be asking him to come back.
Sean is an excellent electrician, installing an outlet in a tight spot efficiently. Exceptional cleanup and so friendly. Highly recommend!
