Sprinkler work is where McLeod Landscaping earns its warmest words. The Tewksbury company, at 1881 Main St, says it has been in business for 30 years and lists a service area running from Tewksbury through Andover, Billerica, Chelmsford, Lowell, Westford and on to Boston. Its own site covers commercial property maintenance, irrigation, and residential hardscaping and masonry such as patios and walkways, and it advertises free estimates. The owner is Scott McLeod, and he turns up in the trade press: in a November 2024 piece on homesandgardens.com he said November "is pushing the limits" for grass germinating, and a 2024 article on stocktitan.net quoted him saying "This property has been particularly useful in projects where clients faced challenges with compacted soil or poor water infiltration." On Google it holds 4.2 stars from 13 ratings, and its BBB grade is an A+. A June 2026 reviewer said Doug and his crew spent a good while replacing worn parts and reworking the electrical system of a sprinkler system more than 25 years old, keeping the homeowner informed throughout. Back in a 2023 review, a customer said Scott and Doug installed their irrigation, started early, finished early and on budget, and that when one head wasn't fully rotating, Doug was back at 7 the next morning to replace it. That customer also noted that many of the workers had been with the company for more than 10 years. The complaints are about follow-through. In a July 2026 Google review, a homeowner said the crew worked quickly and did a good job on the lawn, but some bushes included in the quote were never planted; after about two months of asking, and being told three times someone would come by the end of the week, it still wasn't fixed. In a 2025 review, someone whose office sits on a Tewksbury property McLeod maintains said the crews' blowers sent leaves, sticks and rocks at employees' parked cars during fall and spring cleanups, and that repeated voicemails to the company went unanswered.
