MDAC Construction Inc

A new roof in a single day, cleanup included — that is what a July 2024 customer of MDAC Construction described, from the quote through the final inspection. The Medford company is run by Marcio da Costa, whose name turns up in five of its eight reviews. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #211708, is active on the state registry. Three of those eight reviews are about roofs. In April 2024 a first-time roof buyer wrote that Marcio walked them through all the steps and that the roofing crew cleaned up well; a May 2024 customer said MDAC replaced their roof with nothing to complain about. A June 2024 project drew a different kind of praise: the crew showed up on time, finished the job early, and rescheduled the final walkthrough more than once to fit the homeowner's calendar. The newer work is a different trade. A July 2026 Google reviewer hired MDAC for an old house and credited Marcio with matching the existing molding and laying new flooring; another customer that month called the work timely and the team ready to answer questions. The company's own site describes a wider general contracting business — home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, basement and attic remodeling, siding, decks and roofing across Massachusetts. The directory profiles are narrower. Angi and HomeAdvisor list asphalt shingle roofing, residential and commercial, and both carry a Massachusetts trade licence, CS-117939, listed with an expiry of 02/20/2027. If your job is an addition or a kitchen rather than a roof, ask for recent examples of that work and who would lead the crew. For an asphalt shingle roof, this is a shop whose customers describe a fast, tidy job and an owner who stays in touch from the quote onward. Get the schedule in writing, and settle what the cleanup and the final inspection cover before the crew arrives.
