FiveTen - Construction & Design

FiveTen Construction & Design is a Medford design-build firm led by Alison Loiselle, who blends interior design with construction — the kind of company Reddit commenters describe as specializing in basements, with one calling a front-entryway reconfiguration a major upgrade. The written record here is unusually deep and unusually clean: 33 reviews from 2022 through 2026 across four platforms, plus three positive Reddit mentions, and not a single negative account anywhere in it. Basement work comes up constantly — reviews from 2023 and 2024 describe turning confusing, unused space into finished living areas, with Alison presenting multiple design concepts and staying budget-conscious throughout. Kitchen and bathroom projects follow a similar pattern: a 2024 review describes detailed renderings that helped a family's vision come together, a 2026 review describes a primary bathroom built from an old closet in under two months, and a 2022 review describes four different kitchen renovation concepts turned around quickly from just a set of measurements. FiveTen also picks up work other contractors leave unfinished — a 2026 review describes a stair project completed after another company left it half-done, calling the result beautiful and Alison's responsiveness immediate. A 2022 review describes a wooden deck replaced with composite decking, with Alison walking the customer through material and design choices they hadn't considered. Reviews from 2024 also describe a hallway/bathroom/office remodel and a master bedroom redesign, both praised for thoughtful design that stayed functional. Google shows 28 ratings at a full 5.0, and Thumbtack rates the company "Exceptional" at 5.0 from 6 reviews, noting 12 years in business and a background-checked owner. For a basement finish, a kitchen or bathroom remodel, or a design-forward renovation in the Medford area, this is about as consistent a record as they come — four years, four platforms, dozens of specific, detailed accounts, and no complaints on file.
