Russ is a godsend! After a previous plumber tried to fix a dripping pipe in my mom's shower of her '50s ranch house (original plumbing) he fixed the drip but made the whole shower unusable with the water temperature all screwed up so it went from scalding hot to ice cold without touching anything. This other plumber came back to look at it charged her $100 and told her that there was nothing that could be done and it was just because it was old plumbing and she would have to have him rip everything out and put in more modernized stuff. This sounded ludicrous to me so I looked around and found Russ with Meadowbrook plumbing. He came out promptly was very nice and does a free assessment. He spent a good deal of time looking at everything and trying to puzzle out why this was happening. We came to the conclusion that we would try to replace some parts and see if that fixed it and if it didn't then we would have him do the work to replace to a more modernized system. He came back out tinkered some more, puzzled some more and finally figured out that the previous plumber hadn't replaced the seats along with the stems. There was a washer or something causing most of the problem. He replaced the parts necessary and got the shower working! He charged my mom a very reasonable price considering how much time he had spent trying to figure out what the heck was going on. I also really appreciated that he explained what he was doing and what his thought process was. You can tell that he's a plumbing teacher as well! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and will use him again in the future if necessary. Thank you so much Russ you're a Christmas miracle!
