Ask a Meadowlark Garden Studio client what they remember most, and the answer is almost always the same: principal Tim Monahan's eye for design. The Arlington-based studio lists its own service area as Concord, Lincoln, Wellesley, Belmont, Cambridge, Brookline, Carlisle, Groton, Lexington and Weston, and handles everything from new garden design to ongoing fine-garden maintenance and custom seasonal containers. The five Google reviews on file, all posted in 2026, tell a consistent story of hands-on design work rather than routine yard upkeep. One client describes a year-long project that added garden beds, raised beds, planters and a dedicated fern area to a backyard; another, a multi-year customer with a condo in Lincoln, credits the crew with a spring bulb display that runs March through May and draws compliments every year. The praise keeps circling back to the same two names, Monahan and fellow designer Kate Haggerty, and to plant knowledge and container work specifically rather than general lawn care. The record here is thin by volume, five ratings so far, all five-star, with nothing negative on file to weigh against them, so there isn't yet a large sample to judge consistency over time. Ask to see recent project photos or a reference in your own town before committing to a season-long design or maintenance plan. Meadowlark reads like the right call for a homeowner who wants an actual garden design, beds, containers, a planting plan that changes with the seasons, rather than a basic mow-and-blow service. Confirm current availability and pricing for your specific town directly, since neither is spelled out publicly.

Tim Monehan, one of the principals in Meadowlark, is a delight to work with plus a talented garden designer. Since I can no longer do my own gardening, it is wonderful to work with Tim and his capable crew to have beautiful gardens at my condo in Lincoln he without the hard labor!
We have been working with the fabulous team at Meadowlark for about a year now. I truly cannot emphasize enough how wonderful an experience it has been. They have absolutely transformed our backyard to a space I cannot wait to get out into each morning for a relaxing cup of coffee. They have designed visually dynamic garden beds, raised gardens, planters, and even a special fern area that I am particularly fond of. One of my favorite parts of working with Meadowlark is that I feel like I'm learning a lot in the process. Looking forward to working with them for years to come!
Wonderful, personalized service. True professionals with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in creating (or enhancing) gardens. Highly recommend them.
We've been working with Meadowlark or a few years now, they’re great! They've helped us gradually add to our garden, bringing in seasonal color in the beds, containers, etc. Our springtime bulb display goes from March through May…we get so many compliments! The whole team is knowledgeable, creative, and just fun to work with. They really care about what they're doing…every year the garden gets better, we love seeing what they come up with next.
