Megco Electric works both sides of the electrical trade out of Saugus: residential wiring on one hand, commercial electrical construction on the other. Its own site adds design work, service upgrades, and specialty wiring for security and energy-management systems. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ and puts it at 12 years in business with four employees. That is a small crew, so ask how soon they could start and who would be on site day to day. For an electrical upgrade or new circuits in a Saugus-area home, this is a local shop with a decade-plus behind it. Get the scope and price in writing, confirm the company's Massachusetts electrical licence number, and ask for a certificate of insurance before the work starts.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Megco Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
