Five licence numbers sit on MET General Contracting's Houzz profile: Master Electrician, Master Plumber, home inspector, certified pump installer and certified water system operator. It's a Merrimack, New Hampshire builder, and its listed work runs from additions, kitchens and baths to full basement remodels, custom homes and home inspections. The company tells Houzz it has been in business over 30 years; its Better Business Bureau page says 52 and grades it A+. BBB carries its own set of numbers — the same New Hampshire Electricians' Board licence, a home inspector licence with the state's Office of Professional Licensure and Certification, and a Water Well Board licence — and Houzz adds Lead Safe Renovator and NARI certifications. New Hampshire does not register general contractors; the plumbing, electrical and home-inspection licences it does issue can be looked up on the OPLC register. A January 2025 Google review is a two-star account of what came after the work. MET did the homeowner's master bath, a shower leak developed, and the crew came out a couple of times to attempt a remedy; the homeowner then bought the valve hardware MET had recommended for a replacement and, they wrote, got no response to their attempts to schedule.
