Baystate Masonry & Construction Boston

A customer in January 2025 said they would give Baystate ten stars if they could: the crew rebuilt their chimney, worked clean and efficiently, and the finished job looked the part. Chimneys, steps and stone are what this Cambridge outfit is built on. Baystate describes itself as a family-owned masonry and driveway contractor with generations of experience, working Cambridge and Boston out of Prospect Street. Its own list runs to stonework, patios, foundation repair, waterproofing and chimney services. The written accounts sit mostly on the masonry side. A September 2024 customer posted before-and-after photographs of their front stairs and said the company communicated well, charged a fair price and delivered the work. An August 2024 reviewer described punctual crews who kept them informed as the project moved. A 2023 customer had masonry repair finished on schedule. A March 2024 customer said the detailed estimate they were handed up front was what they ended up paying. The most recent account, from May 2026, was about a roof restoration. Worth knowing before calling: four of the nine reviews on file were posted across three days in early March 2024 and run a line or two each. The company's site names no owner behind the generations it cites. A good fit for a chimney rebuild, front steps or a patio in Cambridge or Boston. Ask to see photographs of stonework finished nearby in the last year, and whether the estimate holds once a wall is opened up.
