Metrowest Painting gets called back. A homeowner writing in 2025 had hired them for an exterior seven years earlier and went straight back for the whole interior; a 2023 reviewer said the crew returned two years after the job to touch up a problem area on its own. Repeat business runs through this company's reviews more than any single project does. The company works out of West Main Street in Northborough and describes itself as a multifamily and commercial painting specialist that also takes residential work — interior and exterior painting, carpentry, unit turnovers, power washing and flooring. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, held under Metrowest Painting Services, Inc. BuildZoom's permit profile counts 17 permitted jobs since 2010 in Northborough, Newton, Needham, Cambridge, Malden, Milton, Braintree, Framingham, Worcester and Westborough, and names Carlos, Jose and Kassio Oliveira as owners. Across 63 Google ratings averaging 4.6, the praise is specific about prep and about people. Homeowners name their contacts: a 2026 reviewer said Kristen carried the job from first proposal through color selection and project management; a 2023 customer credited Kirino with making a plan each day to keep the house usable, including a weekend shift so the kitchen came back sooner; a 2022 seller singled out Igor in sales and Robbie's crew. Exterior work tends to arrive as a package — that same 2026 customer described cracked and rotted wood replaced, the house sanded and primed, and three sample colors put up before anything final went on. A 2024 reviewer said the final price came in under the estimate. The complaints are worth reading before signing. In a November 2024 review a homeowner said the crew barely sanded before painting, and that finishing and cleanup only happened after repeated prodding. A 2023 reviewer described an exterior job that slipped through the summer — power-washed, scraped, carpentry done — then left bare with the painting pushed to the following spring. Another 2023 customer liked the paint work but said their original contact left with no handoff and dates changed without notice. An October 2025 reviewer called the crew rude, without saying what happened. One more thing to settle on the first call: in 2022 a homeowner said they phoned about interior work and were told the company only does commercial painting, though the sign outside advertised both. Residential jobs have plainly been taken since, but multifamily is where the business points itself. Right call for an exterior repaint that needs carpentry first, or a full interior with one person owning the schedule. Ask who your project manager will be, get the sanding and prep written into the scope, and pin down start and finish dates before you put money down.
“As a residential service they were ideal. Kristen was our single contact from initial proposals, to color selection, through project management. The estimates were reasonable, as were the changes (the exterior needed lots of carpentry). The crews were meticulous in preparation, masking and clean up.”
As a residential service they were ideal. Kristen was our single contact from initial proposals, to color selection, through project management. The estimates were reasonable, as were the changes (the exterior needed lots of carpentry). The crews were meticulous in preparation, masking and clean up. They were friendly, accommodating, and communicative (no surprises). In other words: professional. We are very happy with the results.
I’m very happy with Metrowest Painting. From the moment I called them to the final day, they were efficient in everything they did. They didn’t rush the job, but everything moved quickly, from the estimate to the completion of the work. They delivered exactly what they promised. They replaced a lot of cracked and rotted wood, sanded the entire house, and applied primer to everything. Then they provided three sample spots with different colors for our family to choose from. After painting, they completed the trim and details with great attention and care. Kirino and his team are excellent and very professional. Another important detail: they left no mess behind, no dust or debris from sanding. They used tape and plastic to protect everything around the house. I’m extremely happy with the result and highly recommend them to everyone.
Our experience with Metrowest Painting was very positive. Our project was executed on time, on budget, to specification, and without fuss. Our concerns were promptly addressed. Communication was frequent and effective. I'd hire them again without question.
Excellent work. Painted my complete interior with trim. Looks great.
Horrible crew, the guys here are really rude and just tough to work with all around, would recommend anywhere else
