None of this was confirmed against the state registry here, so treat every one of those statuses as a directory claim rather than a fact. One more oddity: among the sampled permits sits an electrical alteration in Malden to remove knob-and-tube wiring — an electrician's job, not a plumber's, and most likely a filing attributed to the wrong contractor. For a furnace replacement, a boiler, a gas line or bathroom plumbing on the North Shore, the permit history is the substance here. Ask for the current plumbing licence number and check it directly with the state's E-Licensing board before booking, and ask who would hold the master licence on your job.
