Mid Cape Painter

Mid Cape Painter is a Centerville painting company run by owner Fernando Maia. How long it has been going depends on which page you read: the BBB profile says the business started on 1 January 2007, about 19 years; the company's own Angi description says over 27 years; and an Angi badge on the same page says 29 years of experience. Ask him directly. Either way it works interior and exterior jobs, staining, wallpaper removal, brush and spray work, pressure washing, and drywall and plaster repair on Cape Cod. The written record is unusually deep for a painter: 30 reviews from 2015 through 2024 across Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor, and 22 of the 24 on Angi are five stars. The same details recur over a decade. Fernando estimates and runs the jobs himself, often quoting within a day of the call, as a 2018 reviewer describes. Crews mask furniture and protect plantings; a 2024 reviewer describes doors taken off their hinges and shaved so they closed properly; a 2019 reviewer describes a power wash, three days of sanding and two days of painting on one exterior; a 2020 reviewer in Chatham describes sun-exposed sides restained after the previous finish cracked. Several customers came back — a 2016 reviewer rehired for a deck after a shed job, a 2021 reviewer planned more rooms. The 2024 Google reviews keep the same thread: prompt scheduling, fair prices, results better than expected. Two accounts run against that, both from 2017. In a June 2017 Angi review a customer who had been given a pre-paid Angie's List service says the start date came and went with no show and no call; told the truck had broken down, they never got the promised call back, and the company's public reply on Angi reads that the money was returned. In an October 2017 review, rated four stars, a customer says an $8,500 job took three months to begin and cost more than expected, while the crew was on time every day once it started. The BBB grades the company A+ but does not accredit it, and no licence number appears on any profile on file. Note too that the Angi and HomeAdvisor pages are the same listing twice — identical reviews and rating — so they are one source, not two. For a full exterior repaint or an interior job on the Cape, the accounts here describe careful, detail-oriented work sustained over many years. Pin down a firm start date and a written price before the deposit, given the 2017 scheduling lapse and the one job that ran long.
