Midas Painting and Carpentry

Midas Painting and Carpentry is Brad Bogosian's exterior painting and repair crew at 182 Moody Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, which its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles describe as 23 years in business, offering free estimates and listed as an Approved Pro on both platforms. The combination is the point: the same crew that scrapes and repaints a house also replaces the rotten sills, shingles, trim and porch boards it finds along the way. The people who hired them tell a steady story between 2020 and 2023. In a February 2023 review a homeowner said Brad responded quickly, gave a fair estimate for painting the entire exterior, and the crew showed up every day until it was done. A September 2020 customer described the crew scraping, priming and painting a badly peeling 95-year-old two-family while the carpentry side rebuilt the front porches, with Brad on site supervising. A 2021 owner of a large Queen Anne house ten years overdue for paint was extremely happy with the result and the odds-and-ends carpentry, and a June 2022 reviewer praised the windowsill and shingle replacement. Attention to detail, a crew that cleans up, and Brad being on the job and reachable come up again and again; several reviewers also mention reasonable prices and work finished within the timeline. There is little to flag from the reviews themselves. A September 2020 customer gave four stars with a brief note that the crew was professional and cleaned up, and a February 2021 rating was written before the job had started. The written accounts end in early 2023, so ask for a recent reference and confirm the current crew and lead time; the platforms list only deck, porch, trim and dock repair as services, so confirm the painting scope in the estimate. Midas looks like the right call for an exterior repaint on an older house where sills, trim and porches need fixing first, especially for owners who want the same contractor handling both halves of the job.
