Scam and Unprofessional Behavior I hired Barry for a basement renovation, and it has been a complete disaster. It’s been over a month and a half with little to no progress, just constant excuses. He took my initial deposit and continued to request additional payments for “progress,” yet almost nothing has been completed. The only work done was partial floor removal, and after that, everything stalled. On top of that, I paid for materials like doors and tools that were never delivered or accounted for. Most recently, he had me send an additional $600 for framing and bathroom work, and nothing was done — as clearly shown in our messages, photos, and videos. Communication has been extremely unprofessional. Calls and messages are consistently ignored, and there has been zero accountability throughout the entire process. At one point, he even came to pick up his tools and left the job site in worse condition, with no explanation. Since then, he has completely avoided all contact. This experience has been frustrating, stressful, and a complete waste of time and money. I strongly advise anyone considering working with Barry to think twice and protect themselves before moving forward.
