Westford-based Mighty Dog Roofing of Greater Middlesex County works roofs, siding, gutters and windows across the area, and three lead-gen directories all put its work at 4.9 stars or better — 4.9 from 101 ratings on Thumbtack, 5.0 from 15 on Angi, 5.0 from 41 on HomeAdvisor. The reviews that back those numbers up describe a crew that shows up prepared and keeps homeowners in the loop. A Thumbtack customer had them back twice — once for chimney work, later to replace damaged shingles before a home sale — and calls the owner personally responsive; an Angi reviewer watched the team methodically clear ice dams off the roof and leave the walkways clear behind them; another had a crew of seven work a solar-panel-removal roof job from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. straight through. Several reviewers name the same field staff — Kyle, Will, Mike, Lucas — for walking them through inspections and keeping to a schedule, and cleanup after the job comes up again and again. Not every account matches that picture. Better Business Bureau carries a handful of undated complaints alongside its A+ accreditation, raising communication breakdowns before install day and a case of incomplete follow-through on an earlier job. Worth asking about directly rather than assuming they're resolved. The business's own paperwork is also inconsistent from directory to directory: Better Business Bureau lists it as 4 years old, Thumbtack says 15, and Angi says 12 — worth a direct question before booking. Licensing has the same wrinkle: Better Business Bureau lists a Massachusetts home-improvement registration (207188) and a construction supervisor number (CS-117201) through the state's Office of Public Safety and Inspections, while Angi and HomeAdvisor both list a different construction supervisor number, CS-057645 — none of these have been checked against the state registry directly, so confirm the current, active number before signing anything. For a full roof replacement, an ice dam problem, or gutter and siding work, the volume of matching, specific accounts across three separate platforms is the strongest case for them. Just get the licence number and a clear communication plan in writing first, given what Better Business Bureau's complaints describe.
Ive had Mighty Dog work on my roof twice in the past few years. First, to do some work around the chimney, and second to replace some damaged shingles in preparation for the sale. The owner, Vish is great to work with, came personally to my house to go over the plans, and is always responsive. Mike led the team, and they did great work, keeping me updated with pictures throughout the day. Everyone I spoke with on the phone (for scheduling, confirmation, etc) was pleasant and very helpful. I will use Mighty Dog again at my next property.
Communication was good. We had to coordinate with removal of solar panels. We were held up a little bit waiting for a building permit but once that was resolved the install was scheduled a few days later. The crew of 7 arrived at 7 AM and worked non-stop until 6 PM. Completing the entire roofing job from removing the old shingles, replacing some wood and installing the new shingles. They cleaned up the entire work area once done. I would highly recommend them for any roofing jobs you might have.
Very pleased on how efficient crew was, supervisors where on site and very helpful, already recommended a friend to mighty dog roofing. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of service. Clean up was excellent.
Mighty Roof did an excellent job from the sales to the whole roof replacement. Appreciate Will, who assisted with all the roofing system information, Kyle, the field Supervisor who was on site on the day of the replacement and after the job was done and kept me informed and answered all my questions. The crew worked very hard and diligently and did an excellent job! Very happy with the end results!
The price was right and the job was superb. They cleaned up after themselves and did not damage any of my plants. They fixed my issue with the rain and melting snow landing on the stairs at my main entrance. I wish every contractor was as conscientious as this one. You can't go wrong with hiring the Mighty Dog.
