Nine Google reviews have landed since March, and all of them are five stars — which matters, because Millennium Landscape & Design's record isn't uniformly clean. The Canton, Massachusetts company, family-owned since 1998 by its own account and run day-to-day by owner Bob Savill, has built its name on the bigger jobs: deck rebuilds, paver walkways, full exterior renovations, not just mowing and mulch. The strongest thread running through the reviews is Bob himself showing up. In a 2025 review, a homeowner described him discovering hidden foundation rot mid-demolition on a deck project and adjusting the plan to stay on budget rather than padding the bill. Other recent accounts describe a full roof tear-off and replacement, a redesigned front-yard walkway and stone staircase that drew compliments from neighbors, and — in a 2025 review — a full exterior renovation covering siding, roofing, masonry and a new porch and deck on an older home. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#183874) is active with the state. The record isn't all praise, though, and it's worth knowing before calling. A cluster of reviews from 2022 through 2025 describe a different experience: a 2025 review called the company's management "the worst part" of working with them; another 2025 review, from a condo association in Stoughton, described a late and shoddy spring cleanup with no direct contact from the crew; a 2024 review called their estimate the priciest of several bids and said problems surfaced as the hardscape project wrapped up; a 2022 review said two newly planted bushes died and a promised replacement was delayed a full year before going unanswered. None of that shows up in the last six months of reviews, but it's real and worth asking about directly. Separately, a 2012 federal Department of Labor case found the company owed $39,851 over a wage-and-hour violation, according to a public enforcement-tracking database. Millennium is the call for a homeowner planning a real project — a deck, a hardscape overhaul, an addition — rather than routine lawn care, and the company's own service list backs that up with masonry, excavating, and general construction alongside the landscaping. Given the mixed patch in its history, it's worth getting the scope, materials, and follow-up terms in writing before signing, and asking directly how a dispute or callback gets handled once the invoice is paid.
