Millennium Landscape & Design is a family-owned landscape, hardscape, masonry and general construction contractor at 340 Pine Street in Canton, Massachusetts, working the Norfolk County towns from Needham and Newton down to Sharon, Stoughton and Bridgewater since 1998 by its own account. Owner and president Bob Savill leads the crews personally, the website says, and lists an unrestricted Massachusetts builder's licence (CS-114520), a Trex Pro deck installer designation, Belgard authorized contractor status and ALCM membership as the company's own claims. The company's Home Improvement Contractor registration, 183874, is registry-verified active under Millennium Landscape & Design, Inc. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, not accredited, with 27 years in business and no complaints shown. Google shows 4.2 stars from 30 ratings, with 27 written reviews since 2021 and nine in the last six months, all positive. The recent work is mostly decks and yards: an August 2026 customer described Bob handling design, permits and code questions for a new deck and stairs, with the crew hauling the old deck away and leaving the site clean each night; another August reviewer had an old deck replaced with a larger one and uses them for landscaping too; a July reviewer praised the boxed white trim on a new deck and porch. A July 2026 customer had Millennium strip two layers of shingles and install a new roof, on deadline and at a competitive price. One homeowner used them three times, for a paver walkway and stone staircase, a town-approved French drain that ended backyard flooding, and then a patio and deck. Spring cleanups and mulching in Stoughton, a bathroom conversion in 2021, and multi-year maintenance and plowing accounts round out the picture, with Joanne in the office named for making invoicing painless. The complaints are real and specific. In June 2025 a Stoughton condo resident said the spring cleanup was late, mulch was still not down by mid-May, and removed shrubs were left as a mess outside their door. In October 2024 a homeowner who chose Millennium for a full front hardscape and landscape redesign despite the priciest estimate wrote a two-star warning not to work with the company. A September 2024 reviewer said the owner was hard to deal with and cut corners on materials. In May 2022 a customer said two bushes died within two months and the company did not honor its word once paid in full. Two other one-star reviews give no detail. For a deck, patio, walkway or drainage project with a hands-on owner who also handles permits, the recent record is strong. Get the plant warranty and the punch-list process in writing, and ask how maintenance-contract scheduling is handled if you are hiring for a condo association.
