We hired Modern Construction to do work on our house, and their professionalism was clear from day one. They showed up when they said they would, completed the job within the promised timeframe, and stayed within budget. The quality of the work and craftsmanship was excellent. We also really appreciated their clear communication and the easy-to-use tools they provided for tracking progress and managing payments. Overall, it was a great experience working with Modern Construction. 10 out of 10—highly recommend them for any construction project.
Michael and his crew at Modern Construction did an amazing job renovating our Condo. Despite a tight timeline, they completed everything on schedule so we could enjoy the ski season. The addition and two new bathrooms completely transformed our unit. Julie from Just Kitchen and Bath designed two beautiful bathrooms and did a great job coordinating the fixtures and tile to keep on schedule. We couldn’t be happier with the way the unit now looks.
It’s true when they say the kitchen is the heart of the home, so when we decided to completely renovate ours, we knew we had to choose the right team. We could not have asked for a better partner in this project than Modern Construction. From start to finish, they were communicative, efficient, professional, and did absolutely beautiful work. Even months later, we are still thrilled with our kitchen. I think the true test of the company’s character came when we found out that the cabinets we had ordered had never actually been made, the week they were supposed to be installed. Modern Construction didn’t miss a beat. They helped us completely pivot, found us new (and even nicer!) cabinets, and went above and beyond by installing temporary cabinets and a sink so that, despite the delay, we could still have some basic kitchen amenities while we waited. We were also fully living in the house throughout the renovation with two young kids, and their entire team was incredibly courteous and respectful. They arrived on time every day, kept things moving, and were genuinely just nice people to have around during what can be a very stressful process. We cannot recommend Modern Construction enough. If you’re considering a home renovation, you can feel confident putting your project in their hands. We absolutely will work with them again!
As design professionals, we hold contractors to an exacting standard — Modern Construction didn't just meet it, they redefined it. Our full home renovation in Manchester, VT showcases some of the finest execution we've seen: razor-clean lines, flawless reveals, seamless transitions, and finish work (carpentry, tile, millwork) so precise it borders on artistry. They read drawings with genuine fluency, caught conflicts before they became problems, and met every field challenge with sharp, well-reasoned solutions instead of shortcuts. Project management was equally masterful — impeccably coordinated scheduling, immaculate job sites, and communication so proactive we never once felt out of the loop. A contractor who combines this caliber of craftsmanship with true design literacy is exceptionally rare. We recommend Modern Construction without reservation — especially to fellow design professionals who demand nothing less than perfection.
