Green State Builders is an Essex Junction remodeler, and a local site describes Green State Kitchen & Bath as its division. It holds a 4.9-star Google rating from 49 ratings and an A+ grade from the BBB. Its website lists a service area running from Burlington and South Burlington out to Stowe and Waterbury, and the company says it handles residential and commercial kitchen and bath work without relying on sub-contractors. A customer who had bathroom fixtures replaced in a mobile home said Willie took apart and put back together a wall to replace a shower faucet, then came back the next morning to fix a small leak in a shower head free of charge. A customer said the company put a new quartz countertop, tile backsplash and sink into their kitchen and a luxury vinyl floor into their basement. One household said the company has done their basement, a bedroom renovation and most recently a full kitchen remodel. A customer whose kitchen and family room were redone said the company still responds to questions and call backs 10 months after the job was completed. A 2025 customer said the remodel of a bathroom in a house built in 1928 required an entire demolition and locating a huge leak in a cast iron pipe. A 2025 reviewer described a kitchen and living room remodel that included removing a textured ceiling and the wall between the two rooms. A 2024 customer said Jake and the team were detailed upfront about estimated costs and time for a renovation of three bathrooms and a mudroom, and that the site was cleaned and vacuumed each day. A 2025 customer wrote that the quote was right on target, with no change orders on their end. A 2025 customer gave one star, writing that uneven flooring and poorly aligned trim showed up within weeks and that the company did not seem interested in making it right when they reached out. In an August 2025 r/burlington thread, a poster who works with many remodelers and contractors said they had "heard many good things about Green State Builders." Vermont lists its home improvement contractor registration, 174.0000446, as active, held by Green State Builders.

Jake and his team were professional, competent and extremely receptive to our needs and requests. They did a beautiful job with our kitchen and family room, and continue to respond 10 months after the job completion to our questions, and call backs for additional service. Heather, our designer, provided excellent guidance toward selection of materials and finishes. We highly recommend Green State.
While we ended up not getting the work done, the initial stages working with them, especially Heather were super easy. They are well prepared and come ready to do the job. Heather was able to come up with a design that we never were able to think of and there was always a clear line of communication. When the time comes, we will definitely be using this company
We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Green State Builders on our full kitchen remodel. From our very first meeting with the design team through the final walkthrough, every single person we interacted with was professional, friendly, respectful, and genuinely enjoyable to work with or have working in our home. The team communicated clearly, showed up reliably, answered our questions thoughtfully, respected our home, and made the renovation feel organized and manageable. The quality of the craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail is evident throughout the finished kitchen, and it's clear they take pride in doing things the right way rather than simply getting the job done. The finished kitchen is beautiful and functional, completing transforming the space. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a talented, dependable, wonderful team for their remodeling project.
We've worked with Green State Builders on several projects over the past few years, including our basement, a bedroom renovation, and most recently a full kitchen remodel. What sets Jake, Monica, and their crew apart is how much they genuinely care about the quality of their work. Their attention to detail, professionalism, communication, and pride in the finished product are evident in everything they do. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure things were done the right way, not just the easy way. Our new kitchen is absolutely beautiful, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Finding contractors you can trust is hard. Finding ones who care about your home as much as you do is even harder. We would recommend Green State Builders without hesitation.
We love our new kitchen and bathrooms renovated by Green State. We enjoyed working with the whole Green State crew. We would not hesitate to use them again on future projects!
