Highlights
- Unbroken five stars — all three Thumbtack ratings sit at the top
- Named owner-operator — reviewers credit the same person across jobs
- Background checked — Thumbtack completed a check on the owner
- Small-job range — assembly, mounting, hauling and odd repairs
- Twenty-three services listed — against two hires and three employees
- No licence shown — the page lists none for roofing or wiring
- Tenure contradiction — the profile says five years and six years
- Thin, dated history — three reviews on one platform, all 2024
Twenty-three services, two recorded hires. That gap is the first thing to understand about MoJoWeRKs GmbH, a three-person Methuen operation whose Thumbtack customers call the man doing the work Rick. The list runs a long way: bed-frame and fitness-equipment assembly, TV mounting, picture hanging, appliance installation, switch and outlet work, interior painting, trim and moulding, drywall repair, doors, gutters, packing and heavy lifting, and out at the far end roof installation, siding and solar-panel repair. The jobs actually logged against the profile sit at the small end of that range — furniture assembly and a furniture move. The customer history is short and uniformly positive: three ratings, all five stars, all from 2024, on one platform. Thumbtack has run a background check on the owner, Enrique Fraden. Three ratings is not enough to tell you how the company handles a job that goes wrong, and none of them touches the bigger trades on the list. Two things to settle before you call. The profile contradicts itself on age — the company's own blurb says five years in business while the Overview directly above it says six. And no licence number appears anywhere on the page, which matters given what the list advertises: in Massachusetts, roofing and remodelling work sits under home improvement contractor registration, and switch and outlet installation is licensed electrician territory. Ask which of the 23 services the team performs itself, and get the registration number and any electrical licence in writing. A reasonable call for the small hands-on jobs the reviews actually cover — assembly, mounting, hauling, odd repairs. For anything on the roof, the siding or the wiring, treat this as an unproven quote and check the credentials before you sign.

What does handyman work cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from MoJoWeRKs GmbH. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
Estimated range
$220 – $850
Typical handyman visit around $540
