Mr. Fix It Metrowest is the name Simon Haidar built over three decades of home-repair and renovation work out of Wellesley, doing everything from finish carpentry and kitchen and bath work to deck repair and general handyman jobs across Boston's MetroWest towns — Weston, Newton, Natick, Framingham, and a dozen more. The reviews on file are short in number but long on detail. One customer's account from a 2026 Angi review reads almost like a job log: a collapsing garage rehabbed and reroofed, exterior siding sanded and stained, plaster walls and ceilings repaired after leaks, windows and garage doors replaced, light fixtures swapped, even an old model train layout demolished — closing with "there is little he can't do." Others echo the same pattern: quick to respond, shows up on time, and flexible enough to work around a family's schedule. All four reviews on Angi are five stars. Two sources give slightly different tenure figures — the company's own site says 30 years in business, while its Angi profile lists 36 years of experience — worth a quick clarifying question, though neither figure is in dispute about the underlying fact that this is a long-running, one-person-led operation. Angi also lists a Massachusetts trade license (CSFA-106766) for the business, though that's the directory's own record rather than an independently verified one. For a homeowner with a list of odd jobs and small-to-midsize renovation work — a stuck door, a plaster repair, replacing an aging deck board or two — Mr. Fix It Metrowest looks built for exactly that kind of call, with a track record of sticking with a project until it's actually finished. Given how few written reviews there are, it's worth asking for a couple of recent references before signing on for a larger job.

Extremely satisfied with the honesty of the owner and the quality of work.
Simon (Mr. Fix-it) has rehabbed a falling down garage, sanded and stained the exterior and painted interior walls, repaired plaster, reroofed the old garage and replaced garage doors, taken down custom cabinets, repaired plaster walls and ceilings after leaks, replaced windows, demolished a train layout, done deck repair, replaced light fixtures, and many other things. There is little he can't do, and his work is excellent and his prices reasonable. I highly recommend him!
