The work people describe most often is a deck. Two things come up again and again: showing up when he said he would, and the number holding. A July 2025 client said the crew arrived early and finished early and under budget on a new deck and stairs; an April 2023 deck was on time and on budget; a December 2022 customer put it as starting when he says he will and finishing when he says he will. Older accounts run the same way — a HomeAdvisor request sent on a Sunday night in May 2019 got a Monday quote and a Tuesday start, and a June 2019 customer was charged half the quoted price when the job cost less than expected. The work is not only decks. A February 2023 client had windows and exterior doors replaced by a crew they called neat; a February 2025 customer got a front deck plus front and back doors and Andersen storm doors; an October 2023 homeowner had a large two-car garage built after hearing about him from a daughter he had built a custom deck for; and a January 2025 whole-home renovation put finish carpenter Derrick on the kitchen. What to weigh before calling is how he deals with people. Four reviewers describe the owner as rude, disrespectful, unprofessional or difficult — three of them within nine days in October 2023, one of those a tradesman finishing another job at the same house, and a prospective client in November 2024 who said he tried several times to meet after being quoted. A 2018 BuildZoom reviewer said an agreed price went up halfway through a job whose scope had not changed, and signed off telling readers to get everything in writing. For a deck, a railing swap, a garage, or an exterior where siding, windows and doors get done together, this is a small Sandwich crew with a long run of jobs that started and finished when promised. Put the price and the full scope in writing before anything is ordered, including what happens if the job runs past the quote, and meet him in person before you commit.
