The thing customers keep writing about is that somebody picks up. A homeowner in October 2023 had his tank being pumped out thirty minutes after he called. A May 2023 customer said what struck her was that the phone was actually answered, and the truck arrived within the week. In July 2023, a call came back the same day and the job was done two days later at the time promised. Nauset Septic covers the six Outer and Lower Cape towns from Wellfleet — Provincetown down through Truro, Eastham, Orleans and Brewster — with scheduled residential and commercial pumping, same-day emergency calls, Title V inspections for property transfers, sewer camera inspections, hydro jetting and grease trap pumping. Its prices are published on its own site. Owner Nate Rose, who the site says was born and raised in Wellfleet, does the pumping himself and handles most of the calls; Joey Rose runs the office and Rob Dalo is on the team. The Better Business Bureau grades the business A+, though it is not accredited. Customers describe being taught as much as served. In October 2023 a reviewer had the crew turn up with detailed specs of his system and walk him through how it works. In June 2023 another said the owner patiently explained things more than once, and a job that month pumped a tank and inspected the pump chamber on a property with awkward access. In August 2025, a household that could not use the house normally had the fault traced to a pipe coming out of the tank. One customer writing in May 2024 has used the company for thirteen years, and on Nextdoor in April 2026 a neighbour in Orleans said they had used Nauset the previous autumn with no trouble getting an appointment. One administrative wrinkle before you compare records: the BBB file for the business names Jon Stolnacke as owner — the same name a 2016 Cape Cod Times article gave for the company's owner — while the company's own site names Nate Rose. For a routine pump-out, an emergency during a summer weekend, or a Title V inspection before a sale on the Outer Cape, this is a small local outfit whose customers say the phone gets answered and the truck turns up. Ask for the price list and the scheduling window when you book.
