New England Air Barrier

Air sealing before a house is finished is the work described by customers of New England Air Barrier. The Sagamore Beach company says it provides AeroBarrier air sealing and energy-code-compliance consulting for builders, developers and architects. It states that it serves Massachusetts, including Boston and Cape Cod, as well as Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Rhode Island, with travel available for other projects. The company describes itself as an authorized or certified AeroBarrier dealer. Its two written Google reviews date to 2020, and Google reports a five-star average from two ratings. In an April 2020 review, a builder described using the AeroBarrier system on a house under construction. They said Ross made the process easy, the crew was in and out within a few hours, and the house passed its blower-door test at the plaster stage. The reviewer also reported saving money on insulation. A May 2020 customer described Ross and the team air sealing a garage apartment with AeroBarrier. They said the work helped meet building energy codes while reducing insulation costs. Both accounts concern air sealing; the company's own description also offers consulting on the building envelope and energy-code requirements.
