New England Flooring & Backsplashes runs a showroom in Whitman, Massachusetts that, according to a local business directory, grew from a straight flooring installer into a fuller kitchen, bathroom, and backsplash operation. Across 49 Google ratings averaging 4.2 stars and a broader run of reviews from 2021 through 2025, the pattern is genuinely split. Many customers name specific staff — Dave, Jonathan, Brittany, Bob, Greg — and describe a smooth kitchen remodel or flooring job with real design help and a professional install crew. But a recurring thread on the negative side involves installation quality gone wrong: tile that wasn't lined up right in the middle of a kitchen floor, flooring that cupped and warped after it went down, and in a couple of cases the company going quiet for months after taking initial measurements or refusing to engage once a problem surfaced. The one thing worth confirming directly before signing anything: Massachusetts bankruptcy court records show a Chapter filing in 2025 for the LLC at this same Whitman address. That doesn't necessarily mean the business has stopped operating, but it's a material fact for anyone about to pay a deposit on a kitchen or flooring job — ask point-blank about current operating status and how deposits are protected. This is a company set up to handle a full kitchen-to-floor renovation with in-house design and installation, not just a drop-in tile job, and plenty of past customers describe that working well. Given both the installation complaints and the 2025 bankruptcy filing, get everything in writing, ask for recent references, and confirm the order and payment terms before committing any money.

Dave and his team were phenomenal with our new floors! Dave came to our house for a walkthrough, explained the process fully and made it very easy to understand, and helped us pick the perfect color for us.

His team worked diligently to get the job done in good time, Dave communicated with us throughout the entire process, and they did a seamless job with the install. We couldn’t be happier!

Great showroom! We enjoyed the pool table and the gentlemen were extremely knowledgeable on the material and the work that would need to be done. They were able to come out the very next day to give me a quote.

New England flooring & Backsplashes did a fantastic job on my kitchen remodel. Johnathan is terrific with communication from beginning to the end. Additionally, the installer crew was very professional. 5 stars all the way.

Met Dave at the Foxboro Home Show and he and his designer (separately) both came out to take measurements and talk kitchen remodel. We visited the showroom in Whitman and everything seemed promising. Then, all communication just stopped. We eventually heard back from Dave to which he told us “good things come to those who wait.” Two months later, we still never received our design blueprints or an actual quote. Disappointing.
