New England Handyman Services covers a wide stretch of Massachusetts for general handyman and carpentry work — the company's own site lists towns from Fall River and New Bedford on the South Coast up to Beverly on the North Shore, with Franklin, Attleboro, Uxbridge and Upton in between. It says it's owned by Conor Twohig and has been doing repairs, painting, assembly, mounting, carpentry, drywall, tile and small remodel jobs for about five years. Recent Google reviews, posted in August 2026, back that range up with specifics: one homeowner had doors replaced and vanities installed ahead of a home sale along with general carpentry and "quite a few small odd jobs," and another describes Conor rearranging his schedule to fit them in. Both call the work professional and the response quick. There's a naming wrinkle worth asking about before booking. The company's Massachusetts construction-supervisor license (CS-121549) is registry-verified active, but its holder of record is Cody Stcyr — a different name than the Conor Twohig the website credits as owner. A Thumbtack profile under a close variant of the business name also names Cody St.cyr as the operator, based in Ware, MA (its About text now reads "White Pine Builds"), with a 5.0 rating across 18 jobs going back to 2024; an Angi listing in New Bedford, MA — which matches the site's own service area — puts the tenure at eight years rather than the five the website states. None of this points to bad work: the older Thumbtack reviews describe the same kind of prompt, furniture-assembly and small-carpentry jobs the Google reviews do. But it's worth confirming which name and address actually shows up for the job. For doors, vanities, furniture assembly, small carpentry and painting work in that service area, the reviews on file are specific and consistently positive about the work getting done fast — worth a call, with the ownership question above worth clearing up first.
Conor is a true professional. Very reliable, moved his schedule around to accommodate us. He does just about everything and is very good at it. Glad to have found him and to use him for all of our future work. Highly recommend
Conor did amazing work at a property I was getting ready to sell, I needed doors replaced, vanities installed, carpentry work, and quite a few small odd jobs done - he was incredibly professional, timely, and a very hard worker. Highly recommend!
New England Handyman was very efficient and they assembled the furniture well. I would definitely recommend them. They were punctual and did the job well.
Great experience. Cody came on time and completed each task faster than I could keep up with him. I wish I had more work to do so I could hire him again!
Quickly and efficiently provided a furniture repair at an affordable price. Flexible on timing and easy to work with. Would hire again!
