The jobs other glass companies turn down keep landing here. One customer had a Bosch shower door nobody else would install; another needed replacement glass thicker than a discontinued original; a third was told by a competitor the whole skylight had to go, and this crew replaced just the pane instead. New England Home and Glass works out of Pocasset on Cape Cod, installing shower enclosures, storm doors, and replacement glass for windows, skylights and patio doors, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The review base is deep for a shop this size: 4.7 stars across 223 ratings on HomeAdvisor and Angi, 4.1 from 30 on Google, with written reviews running from 2022 through this summer. The same names recur — Tyler calling back within moments of an Angi posting to quote a job, Steve arriving on time to install, Michelle answering the office phone. A March 2025 customer described a quote with a 3D sketch and custom measurements, then a two-hour install two weeks later; quoted prices held, and several reviewers found the bid lower than competitors'. The complaints are fewer but specific, and they cluster around first-time fit. A July 2026 reviewer said a special-ordered storm door came the wrong depth, left gaps at the trim, and the company would not come back to make it right. A 2023 customer's sash glass didn't fit and took weeks to replace; a 2025 steam-shower customer described two years of re-fits that never fully sealed; and a 2023 reviewer reported waiting four months and never getting a refund. When the fix was simple the story reads differently — a wrong first shower door in 2023 was swapped quickly, and that customer still gave five stars. For a shower door, storm door, or glass replacement — especially a job other installers have passed on — this is a reasonable call, with two things worth pinning down first: who takes the measurements, and what happens if the piece arrives wrong. Get the timeline in writing; wait times show up even in the five-star reviews.
I had them come out and measure to replace a storm door. They special ordered size but didnt get rhe right depth door and didnt make necessary adjustment for new door. so now thier are gaps between door trim and siding of the house Every door installer knows you have yo account if u need to build out or whatever adjustments have to be made. I called them and they dont want to stand by thier work. They said the owner did the measure. Thats even worse. Not even the owner knows what hes doing or doesent care.
Great pricing, communication and work .
